Written off by many 'experts' on here but I have a feeling this one may come back to bite us.

Every time a Wakey player signs for another club, within 2 or 3 posts, someone says it may 'come back to bite us.'

Never personally said it before and I suppose it is easy to say but I base my comments on the fact that he has undoubted qualities that were not allowed to develop at Wakefield.
I just think he probably came at a bad time to us, we wanted instant success from him and that was too much pressure for him.

He was a panic buy who was quickly replaced and we haven't missed him - at all; and now he can't get a game at Fev.

I'm reasonably content that this was the right thing to do.

Waste of effort, time and money. He was a poor signing for Trinity and an entirely avoidable one. If the club is looking to take a punt on a player in the future I hope they look closer to home.

I thought he was a good signing, but it took so long to get here, we signed others in his place.
That left him with a hard job to prove himself.

Apart from the Magic weekend, when even then he wasn't as bnad as some say, he played ok for me.
His CV is outstanding, so I reckon he just needs to some time to gain confidence after his injury again and he will be a top player again

Think he will do a good job with a pre-season behind him. Certainly no worse than Gale, got a decent boot on him.

Sorry mate, can't agree about his CV being outstanding. he has been sacked by every club he has played at and that is quite a few now. People keep referring to him making the Australian Schoolboys team but they don't mention that they were beaten 2-0 by a pretty average England team.

Sorry completely disagree he was abysmal the only person that day who could say they gave their all was Washbrook. Every one of Siejka's kicks went out on the full and for a halfback that is appalling.

I think you've proved the point though. He was bad yes. But not every kick went out on the full. He had a bad game, and Cas were on fire. No need to make it even more than that.

Anyway, to also correct my point about his CV, I stand corrected. What I should have said was his CV from a young age is outstanding. He hasn't shown that at top level I agree.
He is still only 22 though.

I think he'll do alright with Bulls. We can't afford to carry him until he gets some kind of protencial back so it is right he isn't with us.

If we really are going to be bitten by the Wakefield players now at Bradford, it's going to be like a piranha bath!

When Harry first signed for Wakefield I had the delight of speaking to one of the back room staff at Illawarra Cutters/St George feeder team who mentored Harry at for the second half of the 2013 season, however he had worked with him 2 years previous to that when he first came through at Penrith . His opinion of him was him was that given the right opportunity to have that 7 shirt he would grab it with both hands. He seemed to be of the opinion that the UK was a short stay and that given he stayed fit (As he had struggled with injuries) that there would be a few NRL teams in for him come the 2015 season.

I don't think he was given a sustained run at 7, infact I cant remember him been given much of a chance at all - However we have had a wealth of options in the half's this season - Godinet, Sammut, Smith. I think at the time his deal was agreed we hadn't recruited Godinet or Sammut so he was looking nailed on for that shirt - By the time his Visa had come through I think we honored his contract.

I wish him the best of luck at Bradford, and I think despite what some of the experts say on here he will go well for them given a decent run of games.

Why then did Fev sign him, then opt for resigning 36 year old Jamie Rooney instead? Hull KR need a new halfback, why haven't they go in for him? I think he will do well because the championship is his level p, but to say it will bite us on the bum is completely ridiculous.

I'm not suggesting that Siejka will come good at Bradford but I can recall what some 'experts' on this forum were first saying about Tautai's initial performances in a Trinity shirt. He's now going to play for the best Super League club in the country next season.

Think it's early days to write Siejka off completely but our club need someone with their 'A' game in such a pivotal position. Can't carry anyone in Super League.

None of us have seen much of Harry,given time who knows,but I haven't come on here to bag him.Better luck with your new club Harry,hope it works out for you.

He signed long before the season started but was overtaken by other players before he could get his work permit. I would not write him off because it did not work at Wakefield, take Smith for example based on his Salford performances no one would even think he was good enough for the championship.
It all depends on if Bradford can work him into their team structure for which they have the time we didn't.
I note the usual suspect doubt he will ever make it, because if he was any good then a SL team would want to sign him. I believe that he does not hold the same views for Walshaw and Kaye who he believes we should not have released despite no SL teams coming in for them.

Is it quite high on your pedestal Scarlett? In 12 months time we'll see who is right.

The lad is only 22. It's so eSy to criticise without thinking about the reality of what he faced when he finally turned up. Peoples expectations heightened due to the endeavour we had seemingly put in to getting him. He comes in to a terribly performing side who all of a sudden have an abundance of people in his position. Thus nobody is prepared to give him any time to adjust or settle in, fans or coach. Then after a few games he's written off as championship material at best. Who knows he might be but I for one hope he shoves it up peoples s and does well

Agree, things here at Wakey didn't exacty go to plan for the lad, but a good injury free pre season under his belt and Bradford might have a decent player. His situation reminds me very much of what happened to Isaac John, same age as well when they both came over.
