Does Bradford's predicament mean the players are free agents or are they still 'ringfenced'

If they are free agents then I'd like to see Brett Kearney in the red,white and blue. But personally cannot see them been free agents.

Completely agree with snowie. I understand we don't have no money but I was just saying it would be nice to see him in the red,white and blue. Plus it was a very poor attendance at the Bradford game and I will keep supporting Wakefield even if they get relegated but agree snowie we need every supporter at the games.(apart from family issues or finical issues if people cannot afford it) I completely understand. But well said snowie.

I think there are some really exiting players in this seasons squad and I am gutted that I wont get to see them live!

Personally, I would hate to see MC tempted into signing players we can't afford just because they're available; frankly, I'm amazed at the squad he's assembled on the austerity budget he created and I give him huge credit for that - and I wouldn't be at all surprised or disappointed if that was our lot.

Wasn't saying we should be signing their players merely asking how things stand but on another thought any news on the 2 possible signings mc mentioned

Who's free agents are they though is the major side issue in all this.
They are employed by the company that has pulled out of the Bulls.
By playing these players this week and in future weeks if this issue isnt resolved are the Bulls playing ineligible players?

Surely since the buyout was never completed the transfer never went through and they were employed by the old company all along? If not how can they transfer back to what is in effect an insolvent company? As the newco only has a license until the end of Feb they can't play for them, effectively that company only exists now on paper. Its an absolute mess and the players must be doing their nut.

Wakey Till I Die - spot on the buyout didn't get completed so reverts to as it was.Its the players I feel for imagine working for a company and not knowing if you will get your next pay packet with family to look after and bills to pay.The fans must be fearing the worst now and as we well know that's a real bad kick in the guts.

I'd strongly advise against clubs looking into it.

It may be that the administrator actively looks to offload players to raise money to pay creditors whilst at the same time cutting the wage bill. If that is the case then it would be remiss of Wakefield not to bid for a player should they be able to afford it based on 'moral' grounds. If they don't move for them someone else will. Bare in mind prior to Glover taking over 3 of Wakefields best players departed within a week of each other whilst in administration and nobody else gave a damn.

In that case should Carvell and Sammut be allowed to return to the Bulls as the selling company was not... the company in the position to sell? or something like that!!!

you misunderstand me - I don't mean it better to keep away for the time being on moral grounds, but I think there's a lot more to come out of this just yet. I think what we have heard thus far is only the tip of the iceberg. I think clubs would be better placed to be more informed of the situation with regards to the club's assets i.e. players.

Sidlow and Gale were each given new contracts by Bulls 2014 quite recently. Due to this I would have thought they
are now in a position that they can't be passed back to OK Bulls and as such those two will definitely be free agents.

I suppose technically it would be viewed that BB2014 were in no place to offer the improved terms and will be null and void.
The fact that they did and that the RFL must have sanctioned it all only goes to show what a right royal mess it all is.
I really wouldn't know where to begin sifting through all the crap to find out the truth.
