Also if Aiton is fit (which I dont think he is) then I still wouldn't select him, he won't be anywhere near match fit and also would be incredibly harsh on Ellis who's hardly put a foot wrong since he's been playing.

for what its worth i would just bring ali in for trouty and rest as they have been over this incredible winning streak, would be really harsh on ellis to miss out assuming aighton was fit but i agree wont be match fit so as we have been for me, come on trin lets go there and do the job, whatever the result tho i am incredibly proud of how we gelled 2nd half of season and give us a top 8 tour

Woody had a nightmare vs Salford which is a shame but leaked yards by the boat load.

If Aiton were fit he would take woods place for a 30 minute stint for me. That's relative to fitness,risk though. If wood does play I hope he impresses like he has done recently and that this week was his 'stinky' game.

No flack from me mate, i honestly think Mathers one on one defence is shocking is slow as a fart.

Yeah seems a top bloke seems to have wakey at heart tries his best but im sorry he is just not good enough at the job he does. A full back is the last line of defence...he cant tackle his one on ones on our own line are attrocious and he gets stepped like an under 9 player. He has cost us several games this season. If we want to progress next season we need a new full back.

As for Aiton...yes he is a good player but it can not have not gone unoticed our winning streak has been since Ellis has been at hooker.

I think mathers suits the role of the fullback type we require at wakey presently. He excels at kick collections, joins the attacking line and gets iinvolved throughout. He does these better than many full backs.

I would agree that his one on one defence can let him down on occasion though but he has also pulled off some try savers too. Think he's worth another year and can't see much better out there at present.

Mathers is a decent fullback is big let down as always being his defence one on one he is poor but I do not see how we can change the team other than to bring Ali in Wildie would be my option over Wood but that wont happen

Would be good to find the next Wakefield full back from our own academy.

We may see more of grayston, fletcher, cowling, Walshaw next year. Some exciting backs coming through. Probably the most productive academy since the Ellis/westwood days.
