I don't know if we will be making any mate. Even though we have plenty of room on the cap, we have handed 3 deals out willy nilly so not much room for chop and change.

Are all the 3yr contracts really 3yr contracts or are they Steve Snitch type 2yr contracts? I wouldn't be surprised if there are get out clauses for both parties.

risky decision by cas signing webster, when hes on the field hes a good player but he always seems to be injured.

Bad sign for Cas imo. Letting Arundel leave and replace with Webster not a good long term deal and Shenton although good not what he was when he left.

I would hardly call Shenton and Webster 'marquee' signings; Webster, although sporadically talented, takes up a permanent berth on the physio's table and Shenton has gone steadily backwards as a player since he left Cas.

We are desperate for centres, and the two we should be signing are someway better then what we have now.

If Cas are paying the reported 130k a year for Shenton, which going by what the chairman of Hull KR said won't be far off the mark, then its not great business for a player who hasn't exactly set the world alight in recent times. He's decent but not worth that. Webster is a good player but has injury concerns and a lucrative three year deal for someone who'll be 29 by next season is a risk.

Our (self imposed) cap will be going up next year & the next until we meet the SL cap.
That was set out by Glover et al almost a year ago & reiterated at Cedar Court & the most recent fans evening.

FWIW I think we'll pick up 2/3 from Bradford, possibly before the end of the month- we could end up getting a few of next years signing this year.

Shenton has gone backwards and frankly is frail. Webster is crocked thats why HKR want shot.

Collis is better than both, Mellars should be but isn't.
