What the chuff did he expect with the bench he selected,2 hookers.a useless centre and a prop.
Forget about any other short comings in Agars coaching abilities,time and time again he makes bewildering bench selections and/ or fails to utilise his replacements shows just how dumb a coach he is.We are in an era where props are spelled every 20 minutes or so,his bench selections dont give that opportunity or he asks someone like Aiton to play prop.Either way Agar is displaying astounding disrespect to the physical well being of the players.
Agar quite simply doesnt have a clue and we should get rid asap.
Since Glover took over the club their has been lots of postivity and a general good feeling,i feel Agar is now starting to eat away at that positivity and it will shortly be reflected in the crowds.I hope im wrong ,but its taken alot of years to start getting the crowds back and this could all be undone by Agar remaining for much longer.
For those who believe it wouldnt be cost effective to get rid,a mere 500 off our home support would equate to a minimum £130kish lost revenue over 1 season.

Also having for players in the seventeen that have played the majority of their first team rugby at hooker might explain some of the confusion at dummy half!

Affraid if the side dont start winning you will be proven right and the crowds will drop.Since Glover took over its like a breath of fresh air for the club and people have been turning up to watch the game.Take me for example never missed a game home or away for years then I one day said enough is enough and cut down the games I went to and eventually quit going.Said I would not return until the club was run by someone who wanted the best for this once great club.I got the impression Glover was and is that man now due to other things/commitments I cant make every home game so didnt get a season ticket.When I do go the oldest lad comes with me so the club has 2 paying adults.Now we know the club sold plenty of season tickets but you will get some who havent got one following the build up to the season they will have thought I will give it a go.You loose them first and they wont come back then next season you have a load of those who got season tickets dont renew and it becomes a rapid downward spiral.If the club loose 500 paying adults at the turnstile for the remaining 7 games and they spend £3 each when in the ground it amounts to £80,500 in lost revenue this season.

i think the bloke is out of his depth. He identifies the problem, but cannot identify why his ridiculous bench selection created it. This is all about him playing the players he signed because thats what he does irrespective, its what he was renowned for at Hull and its the same here. He started a season without enough props, no goalkicker, and half way through brings in a centre where we have ample options just to kick goals. We still get steamrollered up the middle and on the off chance we get a try at least we have a goalkicker......not clever enough Agar. Look at the majority of his signings and they have been poor most of the time but he continues to run with them. Please leave before you undo all the hard work put in off the field.

But if we sack him you have got to trust the bloke who recruited him on a three year deal in the first place to get it right this time and find a decent coach. I seem to remember there was a strong message sent out by many supporters not to sign agar and they were never listened to. What makes you think people will listen this time.

|  Aiton is never a prop and the 17 should always have 2 genuine props on the bench no matter what in the modern game. It makes you wonder whether there is a fall out behind the scenes and thats why Johnson is on the bench. Either that or he is about to go to another club imminently mid season and so couldn't be played due to being in the process of being sold. Sorry but I am still struggling to put any logic to the team selection.
We were always going to struggle against Saints but having AMOR, RALEIGH, JOHNSON and JAMES as our props with possibly KIRMOND, MARIANO and WALSHAW/WASHBROOK as our second row was a must with this particular game. Its a struggling squad made worse with poor squad selection IMO also a key player like Aiton will get injured playing him out of position. 
Kear & R.A. have worked together before at Hull can't they do it again?  |

Agar used to put a winger on the bench at Hull, then put him on for the last 5 minutes - a bit like under 11's rugby.
You guys do have some good, young players, but i think to get the best out of them you really do need someone who knows what they are doing. We are delighted that we have Gentle now, the confidence he gives the players is outstanding. I cannot imagine Ben Crooks looking as assured as he did on Saturday night if Agar was in charge. Mind you, he wouldnt have even played him!

I know this post has been going on a while but I just wanted to add that I couldn't agree more. I think appointing Agar shows a huge lack of ambition, (the only showing through out AG's time here, everything else has been spot on) I honestly think he doesn't understand how to use forwards to win a match. Look at Hull's pack last year: O'Meley, Radford, Westerman, Fitzgibbon, Manu, Luaki, Tickle, Washbrook.... AND HE STILL MANAGED NOTHING WITH THEM!!! |

| For whatever reason our bench on Friday was not balanced.
Johnson is fit and raring to go and we put a half back, hooker, centre and second row on the bench.
Once this was announced we wre on a hiding to nothing.
Mellors on the bench is a waste of a spot, he should either start the game or miss out and either Aiton or Wilde, but not both.
Obviously Mr Agar has his reasons for the squad that he selected but, it was a long old evening for those of us that made the trip
and this wasn't helped by the coach parking about 3/4 of a mile from the ground  |
