| Unfortunatelly trout may look like a better option for next year as he seems to be kicking on. Gledhill for me may be a late developer and does not have impact a prop should have as yet.
If he goes then so be it. It gives players like trout a shot.

Shame about Gledhill but his future in SL is far from assured after a very promising start.
As for the others I aren't too bothered, they are all the wrong side of the hill for me.
Dont worry the futures bright, the futures Red, White and Blue!!!!

| Gledhill has plenty of potential but thats all it is at the moment. Its a shame it looks like he's off but good luck to the lad if if thinks his chances of first team opportunities lay elsewhere. Morrison could do a job for another year but he wants a coaching role, if he's not in the new coach's plans he will go to a club where he can continue his development. Korky not too fussed, plus it gets the import numbers down.
The danger of losing the academy players, if true, does concern me, particularally when club 1873 was set up to fund youth development

I'd have liked to have kept Morrison for one more season but I would be very dissappointed if we are losing talent from the Academy. Not too fussed about Rinaldi and Korki though.

| Had an outstanding Super League debut but never really backed it up. Has been a fringe player for some time and didn't really do himself any favours last week v Cas.
Good luck to the guy.

| Not that bothered about losing the ageing foreigners the recruitment is looking good for next year and these players should be easily replaced. It's a shame about Gledhill but he's a few years away from being a regular at the moment so best of luck elsewhere. As to losing academy players that is a shame if true but it does also depend on which players we are talking about. I shall wait until it's official and we have some names before complaining about it!

| Disappointing to lose Gledhill, i've a feeling that we could have another Peter Fox situation happen here, but the loss of some other academy players would worry me even more. I'm getting the feeling that with hunting for a new coach and signing new players we have taken our eye off the ball regarding re-signing our own. Losing Rinaldi & Korky doesn't bother me one bit but i'd like to keep Morrison another year. I'm sure we could find a coaching role for the next 12 months whilst he plays on in the same way it works for Deacon at Wigan.

| Players come and players go and although its sad to see youngsters go, its the name of the game. Unfortunately loyalty in these mercenary days is in short supply and until we start becoming a successful club we will always struggle to hold on to players. I was mortified when we lost Southernwood and look whats happened to him. For me I want to see how Annekin goes because I think he has a very bright future, hopefully in red, white and blue.

| I still think Gledhill's future is in the second row and it'll be a shame if that's not with us, but if he thinks Salford is a better option, then good luck to the lad. I'm sure he'll kick on under a decent coach.
I hope we don't lose the key academy players but it's inevitable that we'll lose some - that's the name of the game and shouldn't be too concerning. It'll be good when the coaching staff are all tied up and we can start to see what the squad will look like for next season.

| Looks Like - that may be the end of the Ben Gledhill fetish club.
How many of us actually know what is really going on outside the chosen few?
Maybe the "I have it on good authority" club will chill when we know the coaching set up.
We have been a revolving door for years and being realistic, we do need to see a BIG change in personell at all levels.

| Can we honestly say Gledhill would be ahead of lauititi, bluey, Moriano, Johnson?? At SR??
He does not at this stage have the weight, impact required for prop. Although in a few years he could come good I don't feel we can carry him for that long.

Can't see Gledhill going having any similarity with the loss of Fox. To lose Mariano at this stage would be more comparable to the Fox situation.

I fully agree with that. As I've said elsewhere, with his build I reckon he could have similar impact to that of Frankie Mariano. But even with the most successful academy sides, only very few of them go on to be household names. And if Lauititi and Southern come in and do the business for us next season, I reckon Ben Gledhill will be quickly forgotten.

Time will tell I suppose. Not offering Fox enough came back to bite us on the backside. He was a young lad who had shown potential for a year and we wouldn't match what another club had offered. Two years later he was playing for England. The same may not happen with Gledhill of course and it may be another Southernwood situation. But it probably means we will need to find another prop for the squad now while Trout & Spiers continue to develop as Gledhill was physically ahead of these two. Bearing in mind we needed another prop even if Ben had stayed then with whats available on the market Nick Fozzard becomes a possibility all of a sudden and that is a scary thought.

| What 68 means is that not too long ago people were slating the coaching staff for not playing Gledhill.
It was as if he was some sort world beater based on one good performance.
Now as he has clearly not progressed after being given a chance it is time to move him on.

| Wakefield has always and will continue to produce talented youngster through the academy and in Ben's case develop young lads from surrounding clubs. We can't always keep them all, whether that's down to money, picking order or potential we don't know.
But, Ben's departure will open the door for the likes of Trout et al. I do feel for him, because i think he has an awful lot of potential which i believe will be unlocked under Parish.
This is way we must take our time with the Head Coach appointment. We must ensure we have someone whose paramout concern is establishing a pathway from academy to first team. The academy is filled with talented lads, but we must unlock that potential.
