Amazing to see that our average attendance (6847) is 500 up on the same games from 2010 which included 9,783 v's Leeds. Bearing in mind, a side torn apart and not expecting anything other than finishing bottom we've still managed to increase crowds!!!
The potential is there even in Belle Vue!

No reason why it shouldn't improve further too! Looking at the rest of our attendances for 2010, there is only 8,337 for the Cas game and 6,200 for KR which eclipsed the 6k mark! |

Most impressive this year for me was Quins a good crowd must of been well up on previous years. People are enjoying what is on display on the field, little touches like the girls walking round selling cold drinks and giving away free creme eggs all help. The kids stood near me seemed to be really loving it against Wigan these are he people we need to be getting hooked now.

Does that mean we've got 540 stay aways back, funny i thought we had thousands of (i'll not set foot) lost fans in Wakey, yes i know it takes time

Must say there is a stark contrast between the figures released this year compared to previously.
In years past I have often left BV believing the crowd was larger than the official attendance where as this year it's been the opposite. The Wire game for me was the most notable example of this.

The average as a whole so far will be up 863, but we've looked at like for like games to give a better perspective. So if the trend continues we're expecting to raise our average by 540. Either way, it's brilliant to see, and as previously touched upon simple but effective idea's such as the Dolls selling chilled drinks, free creme eggs etc are all contributing factors.
Imagine the potential if we we're to get close to competing for the play-offs! |

I think you're correct, it seems a little bit more professional. Little things hear and there increase our revenue. The catering for instance, the Dolls walking around with bottles and other refreshments, the bar at the bottom of the flats even the try scorer game. All may only make marginally more, but i bet when you tally it up over the season it makes a massive difference to our cash flow |

They're certainly making more money from me - I never used to buy anything in the ground, but I find it very hard to refuse anything that's being vended by a dancer wearing hotpants, providing it's not Louie Spence.

Their is a real buzz around the place on matchday, and its really good to see, and be a part of. We may not be the best side in Super League, we all know that, but we do know that if we continue battling away then it will be difficult to complain at the end of the campaign.

apparently 'those dolls' were Cas dancers in wakefield shirts.
Why are they selling for us? hope they didnt get paid - they ought to ask for Wakefield supporter volunteers - I know 2 who have offered. Nothing to do with looking professional either - in case anyone wants to add that - Keep it in house Wakey! |
