Some people on this board only come out of the wood works when we lose to 'rip' in to the players & to be honest it's getting pretty pathetic.
Yes we didn't play well, yeah there was some silly mistakes from both senior & junior players but that's life just get over it & back the players.
I bet you my life savings that every player & coach knows they didn't preform well enough.
But have some perspective here, we were playing a team that's been to 4 consecutive grand finals ( they might not of won any but that's not the point).
We can't expect to win every game & play with 100% effort & commitment every week.

the pressure took its toll but I saw the lads kept going even if the mistakes was there

Anybody with any sense would know that we were going to have days/nights like these this season. The important thing is they learn from it and move on to the next game.

Can't fault the effort, 100% .
We are always going to struggle against the top teams, we all (should) know that.
As long as the efforts there, and the club are pushing us forward, come what may, they will have my 100% support.

Theres a few moaning but the fans that were there stayed until the end and gave the lads a good reception at the end.

Most of us know whats in store and are happy to support.

I'm enjoying this season more then previous seasons (1999, 2004 and 2008 excepted)
Its a roller coaster that, for a change I'm enjoying.

Reality check! We got exactely what we expected, to be beaten by one of the best teams in the league by quite a bit. It's happened before, it'll happen again. At least the effort is there, and the players know they can play alot better. It could be an awful lot worse, remember the back end of last season?

Nothing to be ashamed of. Saints can do that to anyone. Even teams full of international senior pros who have all shared a productive pre season together.

It was never going to be a banker away win,its done and over with lets move on because i`m sure we have other target games in front of us .

I agree that we can't expect to win every game, I am a realist, however I do expect 100% effort and commitment every week, any player not giving that should not be wearing the shirt. They are Proffesional sportsmen, they are in a privileged position so 100% commitment is not to much to expect.

Having arrived at the stadium last night a little pushed for time as we had to drive round on the coach looking for someplace to park, I settled down for what I hoped was going to be an entertaining defeat by what on paper and in the end reality a better side.

However what I didn’t expect was to be sat in front of supposed supporters who’s sole intention it was to pull the team to bits in it’s entirety from start to finish constantly commenting on every play on what they should and shouldn’t have done, and having cause to look round and realise these people have never picked up a ball in the past.

I am a big believer that if you have paid your admittance fee you have the right shout out if your not satisfied with what you have purchased, but come on we had a team full of young lads packed with potential, but if people like those mentioned continue no confidence, playing against seasoned professionals who will target these young lads so lets get behind them For We Are Wakefield Together We Are Stronger.

Well said, our youngsters are showing great potential and John Kear is the man to bring it out, just hope they want to stick with Trinity.

How many times did we drop the ball we did it to ourselfs last night. Im not 1 of those people i am on here often given praise and negativity when its deserved.

At the beginning of the season we were wondering whether we would even win a game.
Being beaten by Sts is nothing to moan about. We did well for a while. A few mistakes cost TD but that's the point against St Helens. They are capable of jumping on any chance. Saying that, for ling stretches we looked ok, we just didn't have enough ball.
The fact that they stuck at it to the end deserves praise and nothing else.

Saints will thump better teams than us this season. People who pay their money to watch are entitled to their opinions but I really can't see the point in slating players during the match. There was people in front of me did nowt but whinge all game against Quins, Why? We know what to expect, we're not really good enough but as long as 100% is given get behind them.

Sts were very quick moving up to meet us in the tackle they forced the errors and credit should be given to a very good team as it should to Wakefield for a never say die attitude.
Yes some silly unforced errors Tommy Lee from the kick off The Tommy Lee forward pass to George on the 1st tackle from a scrum etc but the thing I like is we never throw the towel in and we keep going for the full 80

I've hesitated to post because I didn't want to come across as patronising. I don't feel that way so apologies if I do come across that way.

But I was stunned at how your lads kept going to the very end. Well impressed. I hope your team do not feel too low about our win because that fighting attitude alone could bag more points as the season progresses.

Unfortunately for Wakey you turned up at a time when Saints had been put through the ringer by the coach, who was getting annoyed at the players' tendency to get casual in the second half of matches (it's been a problem for a couple of years). Simmons took Wakey very seriously and ensured the players did too. He said in his press statement beforehand that if Saints allow your lads to take an inch, they will take a mile (as indeed they did - your try was indicative of that). That will be why we got up quick defensively. It cost us, mind: four players! But from a Saints' fan's perspective it was good to see us take you seriously and make sure you didn't score any further tries.

Thanks for that. Thought our defence in the first 20 mins was fantastic. Last years team would have folded after 10 mins. Shows how fit the guys were to keep going with stats of only 15% of the ball.
