I see he's joined barrow on loan, would of done a job for us in my opinion

Definitely would have been good for us, he was on my pre season list of players we should target.

He's at a similar stage of his career as Mossop was when he went to Huddersfield and whilst there he became an almost automatic choice, I think Davies would have done the same with us.

Kear is a known fan so i am surprised he didn't go for him if he is availiable. Maybe this is a sign that there is something else in the pipeline.

I can see why Barrow would be better for him than Wakefield though.
He needs to be brought in gradually.

If he came to Wakefield he would either be playing too much rugby against tough opposition without a big pack to support him or being spelled in and out like Gledhill. Wigan won't want either of those things.
At Barrow he'll get regular matches against slower but still tough opposition giving him chance to find his feet in his position.

He would be great for us long term but that's not what Wigan are offering. We are better getting a short term Higgins.

In some ways we have done a similar situation with Amor, he has just been on that track slightly longer.
