Have always liked coming over for the first home game of the season but with all the upheaval at the club I wasn't even sure we'd have team.

too many young lads ,plenty of effort but no guile. beaten by a team with far better halfbacks.its all you can expect

Kear is by far a better coach than McRea, Salfords team is imo alot better than wakey's and we should be beating you? if kear had an equal quality of team you would of done us today without a doubt, McRea doesn't have a clue!

...yet there were shocking errors at crucial times from much more experienced players like Rinaldi and Korkidas....

Plenty of effort but a long hard season lies ahead....

Beaten convincingly by a team as poor as Salford...if any Salford fans are looking in who didn't go...don't get too carried away!

Against a half decent team you would have been about 30 points down at half time...your discipline was shocking...we must have had about 10 penalties in the first half and plenty of possession and field position, a good side would have made you pay...

You only started to look a decent team once the game was safely in the bag and some of our heads dropped...

We tried really hard but we have no class.

Back to 5 drives and kick, thats if we completed the sets...

Hopefully JK will give Harvey a game next week...
Gledhill and Rinaldi stood out for me today...

No change in tone or volume, and ever so matter of fact.
Sounded as if he was a union guy who had no interest at all in proceedings,
And why do we have to have inane messages read out whilst matches are in progress ?

That sums it up for me, i and many others said if we got 100% effort and pride in the shirt we'd be content.

Lots of huff and puff from a young team who never gave up against a bigger Salford outfit.
Yes we lacked the spark at halfback but it was a good effort.


As for 5 drives and a kick what the bloody hell do we expect in the conditions champagne rugby throwing the ball around get a grip.

Can’t see why King and Harvey did not play myself and disappointed with Smith but it’s only his first game great effort from Rinaldi, Johnson & Gledhill.

Please let’s stick by the lads this season win lose or draw and give the club time to get some size into the pack and a bit more class at halfback we will be ok but it is no good moaning when the likes of Leeds Sts and Wire give us a good hiding it will happen and we have to live with it.

My only real disappointment even with the rain was the attendance 6800 let down yet again by the public of Wakefield and the internet experts and a couple of idiots I was near who said it was the worst Wakefield side in living memory

Can't argue with that - a gutsy performance, but we lacked some creativity and the ability to finish.

Le Barbu was our man of the match by a country mile, with good performances from Johnson, Gledhill and Morro. Penny had a good game, until the last ten minutes.

i agree no creativety in the halfs thought it was a gutsy effort by all the first 10 mins did the damage for me dont bother apoligising to korkis fan club they have heard you bag player befor and i am sure they are use to it get behind the team together we are stronger
