Would love to believe this but my faith has been well & truly shattered.

Elston talking to 4 parties off his cue card again.

God help us.

We understand that there are 4 parties interested.

2 are widely known - the other 2 less so.

Wish we owned Cue Card might be able to get some money from it.

James is working his socks off for this club. He may view things differently from many of us, but he has a vital role to play in any transition and he will do it well.

His role is to read off the cue card, pre written beforehand by the powers that be.

I heard that Guisley FC's big fanancial backer was interested, maybe rubbish but who knows. However I have researched them a little and I hope its not the chairman.

I think Elston is doing a great job considering the circumstances ! Anyone will be better than Ted this is a huge mess !!

IMO James is one of the good guys, he may have his hands tied at times but he does what he can.

Couldn't agree more, Roonaldo. He may well be "working his socks off" but that certainly doesn't mean he has competence in any area. Please back up the statements you have made, TRB.
Just what business credentials does he have?
What things does he "view differently" from the rest of us?
What is this "vital role" and what on earth leads you to the conclusion that he will manage it's requirements well?

I am heartily sick of your relentless cheerleading for the club. Even now, you seem unable to call this lot for the useless, incompetent, ineffectual tossposts they have proved themselves to be.

Of he's working his socks off or not, he is part of our club and at times like these we all need to dig in, he isn't ted and shouldn't be vilified as such.
As for cheerleading for the club, it's what we all should be doing and TRB should not be criticised for that, blindly defending ted in the past, go for your guns, no argument there, but the club needs all the cheerleaders it can get right now.
Let the new owners and administrators weed out the week employees, that's their job.

So it doesn't matter that he's completely out of his depth, as long as he's "one of our own"? I don't want to pick a fight, as I agree with you on most points you make on here, but simply putting up with such people in vital positions at our club is a recipe for mediocrity - and that's excatly what we have been receiving for years. Surely it's time for a new broom at the club.

People sometimes blossom from a change at the top, others given enough rope will hang themselves!!

Can't comment on Elston as I've never had dealings with him, but have with other members of staff, past and present, and your point rings true. Why employ those with the skills when you can employ 'our own' because they're loyal and (probably) cheap? If they are out of their depth, so be it.

You sure?? Don't know his current salary but i know what Hull KR were paying him and if we are paying half of what he was on there, he's not on a bad number.

I certainly don't wish to pick a fight with you and I agree that you are entitled to feel angry at the current situation and perhaps a little frustration at my position over the years. All I can say is that I have done, and continue to do, everything I can for the best for the club and it's fans - and I do it for free - and up until now Ted has been the club.
