I appreciate its tough for everyone at the moment and i am unbelievably grateful for anything i get, BUT if you are unable to donate or have other things you need to/wish to support I totally understand but would hope you would have a look at the Organ Donor site, it takes a couple of minutes to register and god forbid should the worst ever happen to you what greater more noble act than to give the gift of life. I would just like to thank anyone who has taken even a passing interest in my challenge as it is as much about raising awareness as it is about raising money, and i am genuinely humbled (yes even me!

) by the response and messages of support.

I also have £200 to add to the total that currently stands on the website from a donation by my Dad.

I would also like to offer a public service announcement to anyone in the Newton Hill area, i am upping the training over the next few weeks to be more functional which means stripping back the layers in an attempt to get used to the cold, so please if you do see someone wearing very little running round the fields surrounded by Leeds Rd, Ouchthorpe Lane behind Field Head, I am not an escaped patient simply a fool preparing for a fool hardy challenge.

Just had a look the donation page and can i publicly thank everyone that has donated. I have tried to PM everyone personally to express my thanks but i get the feeling some of the donations have come from this source but your forum name has not been left, so obviously i am not able to PM you.

I am lost for words genuinely so at the response, i find it inspirational and it gives me great strength and confidence that I am going to complete my challenge even if i have to drag myself round in the deep throws of hypothermia.

I sometimes cringe at the expression "rugby league family" I can assure you i will not in the future, the greatest game with the greatest fans.

I would really like to thank Snowie for the promo, of the last few weeks outstanding and added over £500 to the pot from RLfans members outstanding.

Its not been the best time for us as a family but it has hit home just how important the cause i am running for is, not that it needed reinforcement.

Happy New Year to one and all and thanks again for the awesome support Snowie and those who have taken a real interest.

Hope to meet a few of you hopefully with both my lads on the 17th for a bit of banter and maybe a pre match beer.

Well the Wife hoped we would get £500, I hoped for a thousand but to date the total stands at over the £1500 mark(although the website does not reflect a further £200 that is to be added) much of which has come from the rugby league community, it is mind blowing!

Unfortunately Luke has been in hospital since the 27th December and to be honest it has been a roller coaster of ups and downs and once again everyone caring for him and us as well has been amassing. Which makes me all the more determined to finish this thing regardless of the conditions.

An aside to this is that between work and the hospital I have no time to train and am probably going into this in the worst condition I have been in, in years, so it really is going to be a massive challenge, just in case it temps anyone else to chuck in a few quid or wish to look in to signing up for a donor card.
