PEOPLE OF WAKEFIELD

You are all accordingley invited to Hearwell Direct Stadium Belle Vue on Sunday 13th September 2009, for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats playoffs qualification party, which coincides with our Round 27 Super League match against Hull KR, our final match of the regular season, kick of 3:30pm. After the impressive 8000 showing against Celtic Crusaders, this is the perfect opportunity for us to offer our congratulations to the team for the wonderful achievements of this season against all predictions from alleged rugby league "experts" at the start of the season. Also, this will be the chance to wish our boys all the very best of luck in our second Super League playoffs campaign.

While theoretically this is a dead rubber, the pressure of qualifying for the playoffs may be off our shoulders, all supporters coming to the ground really ought to create a party atmosphere, the kind of which Belle Vue has not seen for years.

So, for anyone lucky/rich enough to go to France for our next match against Catalans, Bon Voyage!

Let's not get too carried away. We could still finish 7th and end up with an away game in France in the play-offs. Call me a party pooper, but I want to go into the play-offs focussed, not partying. Will be no fun if we go out in the first round because we think the job is done.

Pleased we have got the play offs, over moon! Just hope we can keep it up now and finish as high as possible.

How do you work that out? Could mean the difference between Hull KR finishing in 3rd or 4th and us finishing between 5th and 8th.

Well, only saying theoretically, because teams are in the play-offs, emphasis on the word theoretically.

if we end up with catalans away i will need re homing because there is no way i will be allowed home again..twice in 3 weeks ? best hide me passport !

just just doesn't work having to travel abroad so quickly, it times like this it makes a mockery of the game
