This black lad on the wing for Batlley is shaping up pretty well from what I have seen, nice hit in the first half saving a try and couple of decent kick returns when under pressure.

I honestly cant believe the amount of players that give the money for Brennan, why do you think it is? Is it percived as a rugby league charity for a little lad who needs lots of help?
I think its great that so many people give their charity money to Brennan, but you would have thought they would give it to a charity closer to their home or circumstance i.e. if one of their relatives had cancer or had to stay in a hospice or something..

sergeant target tomkins..typical cas..great peformance from tomkins tonight, glad we didn't resort to those kind of tactics on friday against briers..even though some of our supporters wanted us to!

I thought we should have targetted Briers more than we did, but target him fairly. Have our big forwards pick him out and run at him, make him work, tire him out.

For the first 20 mins or so, I felt we stood off Briers a bit and let him play, after that we seemed to get to grips with him, and that coupled with an accidental crack in the mush seemed to quieten him down.

Indeed there was a point in the first half where Briers took quite a heavy knock making a tackle and it was crying out for one of our big lads to run at him i the next few tackles. Of course we ran the next 4 tackles well away from him!
