Just a quick post to say Touchline aired for the last time on Real Radio on Sunday August 16th ...
Dave and I wanted to thank everyone who has called, texted, emailed and listened over the last five years.
We've thoroughly enjoyed doing the show and hopefully we'll find a new home for it for next season.

It would not really be fair for me to get into this debate.
The RLfans network and the posters on the forum have been superb in their support of us, and we have tried to support the forums in return with advertising on the site and mentions, at times the combination of online and on air has worked brilliantly.
Anticipating the decision would not be well recieved i asked last week where i should direct peoples thoughts and questions, if anyone wishes to enter into correspondence with the station regarding this, please pm me for the relevant contact details - which is as Mutt suggests.

Quote Thank you very much for your e-mail regarding Touchline.
Real Radio is a commercial radio station where the size of our audience impacts on our ability to continue broadcasting. Unfortunately, Touchline appealed to a minority of our available audience and only a portion of our broadcast area. The decision to end the show was not taken lightly.
Let me reassure you though that we will continue to cover rugby league within our increased number of sports bulletins and our Saturday afternoon music and sport show. The only thing we’re not doing is opening the phone lines to have a debate on the sport. We had seen that fewer and fewer people were calling the show and, as I’m sure you’ll appreciate, a phone in show can’t survive without callers.
We have introduced a sport forum on our website where you are free to e-mail us at any time with your opinions and thoughts.
It’s always difficult to keep everyone happy with the decisions we make but on this occasion, I’ve had to listen to what the majority of our listeners want.
I hope this further explains why Touchline has ended and I hope you’ll continue to listen to Real Radio. I also sincerely appreciate your e-mail and welcome feedback of any nature.
