Since we are throwing names around, watching Warrington this week reminded me of Chris Bridge.

He was bought from Bradford (who would probably love him back now) as a stand off for Warrington and was fantastic until he had a run of bad injuries. He's now out in the centres where competition is busy and looking to get busier.
If we wanted a UK 6 rather than overseas, and assuming we are not getting the Salford pair or Cooke, he wouldn't be a bad option.

Just a thought as all the rumours seem to be flying. Will probably be in the papers by Monday!?

As mentioned on other thread, I would love to see him here with us. Very versatile and I can't recall seeing him have too many poor games. Great signing if he was available, fingers crossed.

Not sure and at first I would have said take the ££££. I don't really rate him but maybe JK can do something with him.

The big question is can he play second fiddle to Danny Brough

Whoever we bring in must play well with Brough so i would definaly consult him before bringing anybody in.

As for Bridge he is a decent player but i rekon we should be looking to sign someone younger

I disagree with this. I would discuss with Brough but just not make it his decision. They do have to play together so he has aninterest.
I agree JK is gaffer and would make the choice but no harm in getting Broughs view.

It's no good signing a really good player who he hates with a vengence.

At what point do you then consult with Brough as to who plays in the team - madness in my opinion.

Indeed dangerous ground allowing players a say on player recruitment and team selection. It could lead to all sorts of disruption.

I do understand what you are saying and it would depend on the relationship between Brougha nd Kear as well.

I'm reading Radlinski's book at the moment (very good read by the way) and he talks about Edwards running training and being very dominant, but also that the players respected him enough that they let him do it.

Whether Brough is at that kind of status is obviously quite questionable but I do like the idea of a family atmosphere in the team and the group as a whole having a say in who joins their group.
Selection on a week by week basis is completely different. JK should be the only decision maker there.
