Be interesting to see who comes out on top in the Atkins v Shenton and Blaymire v Owen match-ups.
Was going to include Ferguson v Westerman but don't know if it's a fair comparison?

Senior bullied Atkins off the field. Shenton does not have the same physical presence and so I reckon Atkins will win that battle. But I will be on holiday and so will have to wait two weeks to hear all about it.

This should be interesting how these two go. Blaymire has been outstanding this year for us, and in the last few weeks is getting better. From what I hear from Cas fans Owen is in excellent form. The 2 most in form full backs in SL. Both locally produced players as well.

i personnaly feel at this moment in time MB is a better all round FB - but richies is getting better week on week and i'm sure given a full off season and next year at FB he will be come a top notch FB.

the one thing i think ricie has on blaymir eis his ball return the lad carries really well for his age and size and i think give RO 2 or 3 years and he will of put on some serious size and will be a monster of a FB he really has the frame to do so.

Shenton is the best young SL centre IMHO, so thats 1 to them, Fergy is easily on par with Westerman again only IMHO, and Blaymire is playing his best RL. I do however think that either Lomax at Saints or Owen will be the future GB full back, but for the time I will go with Blaymire. I make that 1 each, and a draw

Atkins V Shenton is always a good battle, Atkins usualy comes out on top and that is partly down to his physical presence which Shenton can't deal with. It's been the same for years, even when they played each other in academy games!!

Fergi better than Westerman especialy from what I have seen and heard this season!

What about the battle of the unseen work? Snitchy v Ferres maybe

Different position and different types of player so it's hard to compare the 2 really, both good back rowers mind.



Ferres is banned so Snitch v Jones that could be, both get through a ton of work in attack & defence.

Good! Cas are a worse side without him, we never usualy drop on with bans like this!

Chase needs to be closed down too, stop him running around our props. Maybe a job for Sam?

I dont think where going down this route, as posters from both sides of the fence have acknowledged that the opposition players mentioned have different and better attributes at this moment in time.

For what its worth, atkins has the strength shenton the skill, blaymire is the better overall FB atm although owen has more pace. Fergie is the better 2nd rower however westerman is a loose so not really worth the comparison, although i feel ferguson has improved this year more than westerman.

It will get down that route again so I refer to my original post. One thing I cannot do is compare Westerman with Ferguson or Owen with Blaymire as I don't really see much of the Wakefield players unless they're playing on Sky and even then I can't compare them to each other on one or two showings.
