Poor defence next to our line, poor ref, poor attack which was clueless and slow at times, at poor day at the races when we never really looked like winning..

Agreed, we looked clueless alot of the time even more so on the last play of the set. We are capable of playing much better rugby than what we are producing at the moment.

And yet Mr Kear feels that if we play like that we will win more games than we lose for rest of season!?

Thought the ref had a shocker, although i dont think we played that bad. If petersons try would have stood. It could have been a whole different result!

Also i thought that Latu had a good game, with some big shots on the big men.

Funny how we all see the game so differently.

I thought we actually played quite well for the most part, we stood and muscled up well to a very aggresive pack, and created three or four excellent chances from good breaks. It was just our composure at the end of those breaks that let us down and we weren't clinical enough.

It was disappointing to concede three soft tries from acting half near to the line, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Thought Brough had the worst all round game I've ever seen him have and thought Atkins was playing as though his mind was elsewhere, very disappointing!

We do look short of pace in the backs though and are missing a finisher out wide.

I have come away today very disappointed.

We played very basic up the shirt stuff, didn't match them early on physically... Latu showed our pack the way forward ........ at 12-4 I thought we had done well.

When Brough JD & Gleeson actually ran the ball we troubled them. Need to get pace outwide... Grix had a couple of chances and his lack of real pace let us down..... Atkins was isolated starved of goiod ball and then looked to lose interest.

Plenty of effort from the boys as the game went on but at the end of the day - if we play like that for the rest of te season we won't win many.

Well there is always some. John Kear thinks the same but I don't.I have to say without Drew we were clueless.Danny B as had 2 bad weeks with the kicking game even though he won the game last week.I fear leeds next

Agreed the pack did fine, got to play wingers on the wing and not scott but Kear won't/can't see it.

Brough and Atkins went through the motions today IMO.

I think we should play Grix at stand off now. Martins kicking isnt the best, and he hardly ever puts an attacking kick in, always just trys to find touch.

Agree with a lot of that. Had we got the bounce of the ball early in the second half think we would have gone on to win as we were on top at that point. Poor game from Brough and Martin needs to be told to stop kicking.

I think luck paid a big part today, the bounce of the ball definatley went hudds way the 2 breaks we made were excellent but very difficult to get a decent final pass for me Petersons disallowed try was a legit as hudds first but hey those ingoal useless people are their doing well i dunno what but something



all in all not a great game, ref was very poor first half but even out to not having such a bad game imo through the second half

As for Martin i think he needs to learn to pass the ball abit more as his kicks are as good as useless at the best of times

Problem is Martin is not a stand off. Yeah he's done ok filling in there but you can understand why Rooney got the hump if he was dropped for Martin. Much prefer to see players playing in position.

I understand that but it baffles me as to why we've let Rooney go on loan to be replaced by a centre?

Fair enough Martin has had a few good games playing at 6 but in tight nitty gritty games it shows we miss a natural 6 who can create space and a bit of magic (admittedly Rooney misses the latter also)

I am guessing that once Drew returns from his huddsaphobia Obst or drew will play at stand off not that either of them are stand offs! You would have thought we'd have waited till the end of the season before getting rid of Rooney.

I thought we went ok really. Thought we made some good breaks and looked dangerous at times but thought bentham had a stinker - how he had the temerity to call us for offside at all was a farce.

Peterson, Latu and moore all stood out today, as mentioned Martin's kicking was a debacle. Think if we had scored that dissallowed try we could have gone on to win the game as we were in the ascendency at that point, but hey ho thats life and Hudds were just more clinical in the end.

Have to agree, Shudds were allowed to get away with standing offside at will.

Apart from a couple of shoulder charges and one break, what exactly did Latue do today that made him so outstanding?

The lack of creativity in the side is blatantly obvious, like I have said before, cannot knock the effort, but unfortunately it takes more than graft to beat sides like Huddersfield
