How about plugging the share offer a little more than we have been doing? The money is supposed to be going towards players, after all.

Wakey have written to folk . I know as we have had 4 letters for this household , cannot afford to buy any shares though.

I've had 2 but there are 3 of us shareholders.

I've said it before and mentioned it to the BoD that we should offer some incentives to attract the purchase of shares but it falls on deaf ears.

We are in a recession, money is tight, why don't we offer something like £20 off the cost of a season ticket for 5 years for every 100 £1 shares purchased. The club gets the money, someone possibly committed to being a season ticket holder for 5 years and the purchaser gets the money back in 5 years and has 100 shares in the club. Win-Win as far as I see it.

Everyone is looking after what money they have due to fear of what maybe round the corner.

Re the shares letters.....

The club have taken their database of existing shareholders and have written to each one with details of the share offer and a form already part filled in and ready to return. This is part of their commitment to allowing the offer to be available to existing shareholders first.

From the beginning of July the offer will be available more widely. At this point the aim is to try and get details to all the current season ticket holders, as this will be the most accurate database available, together with the e-mail facility they have.

We did narrow the details down to one letter per shareholder, but though it sounds easy to put them all in one envelope for one address, it is not so easy to match them all up when there's several hundred to do.

How do I know all this - because I did it on behalf of the club - partly based on some of the 'feed-back' on here about the lack of details being issued.

So, my/our words have been heard and we have now begun to plug the gap and, hopefully, we will raise the cash that is needed to put next years - improved - side together.



If you are a shareholder and don't get a letter, then you're address is probably not up-to-date on the clubs database. In which case, please write to the club with your new details and a request for the latter / form required.

One last thing - for anyone who's recieved a letter - can you let me know what you thought of the quality of letter / details etc - all feed-back accepted, good or bad!

I think there are rules about what you can and can't do re. the purchase of shares, but it's not my field of expertise. I can do printing though!

may be some more supporters might like to just take a little time out just to see what a good youth system we have at the club,

the next home match is on a 4th july against the Huddersfield Giant academy at Belle Vue kick off 14:30. £3 in for adults £1 for kids,
if you like super league rugby you will be surprised how additive watching the young guns are

Sadly as a shareholder since I think 1990 (When Sir Rodney stood up in the Town Hal) UI have moved addresses several times informing the club each time sadly they never send me anything I have purchased further shares for family members and again the data base has not been udated

I have had nothing through about the share offer and tthough it grates me this sums up the communication of our club.

Still waiting for a reply to the e-mail I sent them about the share offer when it was first announced! Wasn't the cost of postage something that was mentioned as to why the minimum purchase was £100?

I think the cost to administer the share sale was the reason for the £100 minimum purchase.

It's not the communication this time - it's the management of the database and getting updated info on to it. I am on it with 2 different addresses - one of which was around 15 years ago and is still there.

I will do my best to deal with this issue with the club. For starters I had put on the forms for people to confirm their details - even if they don't want to buy shares! - and send those details back in the self addressed envelope. The letters that have been seent out with a return address on the outside, in case of non-delivery, so hopefully we will have some idea of how many don't make it to the final destination.

It's not easy, but with a little help from you guys, we will try and make things a bit better.

Not enough in the overall aim, but quite a few considering it is only this week that all the shareholders have recieved a personal invite.

No dig from me but I have purchased on 3 ocassions some from the original allocation and I just feel let down by the club that after all the contacts I have made and updates and attending shareholder meetings through 2nd hand information I feel sad that its never been resolved. I know the work and effort you put in so I am not having a go.

I am as frutrated as you are - and that is why I asked for the feed-back. We may have an opportunity to resolve this - but it will take a bit of effort!
