YOU CAN STILL WATCH ORIGIN II LIVE!
Telstra Bigpond has come to the aid of English Rugby League fans who were in danger of missing out on tonight’s Harvey Norman State of Origin match at ANZ Stadium.
International rights holder Setanta announced overnight that it has ceased transmission in England, Wales and Scotland leaving fans without access to live coverage.
Negotiations with Telstra Bigpond today have ensured that those fans will have online access to the match live at no charge.
English, Welsh and Scottish fans can log in via bigpondtv.com/leaguetv .
Fans from all other countries will not be able to access live Harvey Norman State of Origin video streaming and will see the match on the usual 24-hour-delay.
“The usual international charges will be waived in England, Scotland and Wales to provide live coverage,” ARL Chief Executive Mr Geoff Carr said today.
“Obviously there are lot of fans over there, not to mention a lot of Australian players who would hate to miss the match.
“Certainly we appreciate Telstra’s help at short notice and we’ll be looking at the longer term implications in the days ahead.”
Setanta holds international rights across the UK, Canada and the US and will continue to telecast the match in all markets except England, Wales and Scotland.
The NRL Partnership will continue to closely monitor the on-going progress of Setanta’s Operations.

I seem to be in a minority as a Queensland fan, I don`t have a lot of choice, I`ve got half a dozen relatives in Queensland, had a great month over there last year (and the weather`s better than NSW). Hoping to go over again next year and take in a couple of NRL games.

As Shane Webcke is my idol i have followed the Maroons...Got to say before he was taken out..Inglis was looking awesome along with big Petro Civoneciva he took some great drives...Reckon Inglis will be playing 6 when Lockyer finally calls it a day...

Inglis on many occasions over the last 2 years as been given the stand off role, and not impressed at all, including game 1 last year in SOO. I think he is a fantastic World class player, but no Lockyer replacement |

played 6 and centre, and he is an awesome player, maybe the best in the World, thats up for debate, but he is up there. I love to see him in the outside backs where his pace and power shine, what a player.
Dallas Johnson always works his nads of, and reminds me a bit of Luke Rickettson. |
