Not correct IMHO, Doncaster were well supported when Tony Fisher got them promoted in the mid 1990's and with proper guidence were set to prosper.

This for me show all that is wrong with SL. Here we are chasing a Welsh/French/London dream with vast amounts of money thrown at each.

Yet a club just outside the heartland, with a real history A NICE STADIUM they have a share in, genuine local youth set up and they are virtually left to rot.

Doncaster actually could be a success and add to the game, yet our sport will happily see them fold for a pittance compared to what the game will throw at far more risky ventures. I'm not saying ditch the London/Welsh/French clubs just remember the others and give them some priority. Common sense in other words - not RL sadly.

This could turn out like over in the NRL with a merger with a S/L club, the only problem is over here i think with teams been in the same place for 100 years without moving it would make it harder - Doncaster Tigers does have a ring to it though

Its down to funding old boy. The RFL get bags of dosh from our Benefit cheats otherwise known as the Government. They get more money to spend in developing area's, and as a result love to associate themselves with new teams, thus creating a job for themselves in the bargain.

I agree with everything you wrote, but at the end of the day you would make more sense fixing a deep fried crusty dog turd to your forehead with super glue than making the RFL do something constructive in the heartland.

I say when the Wales fiasco goes titz up like it did last time, the RFL will still not learn, oh no, its Glasgow Gonads, or Coventy Cowbells, or some other obscure area to target. The big talk is Cornwall in the RFL, FFS who the flock will travel to Cornwall ?
