next week i hear we may have scully, brough, fergy, wilkes, peterson, and drew back. this should mean some changes then

Be glad to have Fergi back, miss him when he does not play for his tackling especially. He just tackles all day and he can also find some gaps.

Would guess Peto will be on one of wings if he does not pick a knock up in training.

Lets hope JK can get the balance right with players coming back, Wintersteins available too.

lets have a proper half back pairing, get martin back in centre, proper wingers. get latu as replacement hooker not a forward and that bench should be coming on and not getting bullied. in fact i look at that team and think it looks decent enough to win and get back on track

OUT - brutally honest here

OBST - Been absolutely destroyed and targeted last 4 weeks as a weak link in defence. Ever since WIGAN got their props to smash into him every opportunity thats exactly what every team since has done.

ROONEY - Been ok but to honest over 80 mins nothing was created and it was his responsibility mainly to organise direction of play.

DEMETRIOU - Captain or not. THIS GUY NEEDS A REST. JD much as i like him WAS responsible for 2 tries and the head was down. He has gone off boil and cant get a game just because he's captain if he's not producing goods. He needs a rest and then look to come back and try and regather some form.

SCULTHORPE - Lets be honest this guy has not produced the goods. i might have put him in but left him out. needs sort his head as to whether he will commit and graft for wakefield trinity.

BIBB - was pretty good at start of the season but he needs to get some aggression and strong drives. time for a few reserve games.

HENDO - will drive it into a brick wall if asked and thats good BUT when the ball needs to go out wide he sticks it up his jumper. its always head down and bull charge with HENDO.

Its time to play a more expansive game too and stop this drive it up the middle for 4 tackles.
And the ball has to get out to centres more instead of forward who runs back in side.

Opinions??

The only changes I would make to this would be Gleeson to centre with Martin playing at 6 (not sure if Southernwood is big enough for SL yet) and the option on the bench being Sam Obst rather than Luke Blake against Steve Snitch.

I'd also have Bibb in the 19.

I definitely agree with Rooney needing to prove himself in the reserves and I think JD needs more than 1 match off.

As for Scully, I don't think I'd be too unhappy if he didn't play for us again.

I was a bit apprehensive re: southernwood but he's playing well and will really grab the opportunity and look for those gaps. Thats something we need ATM.

As for GLEESON he did not have a good game and did not look fit at all yesterday imo. not the only one though.

Dont know what to do with OBST as he is deffo no HKR and he is being targeted far too much of late.

would be great to see grix at fb and blaymire on wing (which we have shipped too many tries in here).

Think Gleeson needs a long rest! He's had a shocking season so far. I know a lot of players have copped flack on and off but most have had positive spells. Not so Gleeson.
Think he's the only member of the squad who has yet to get a single point from the 1-2-3 man of the match poll on here?
I know it was JD who lost the ball on our very 1st set on Sunday but subsequently Gleeson had a hand (or lack of a hand!) in all three of Shudds 1st half tries.

Gleeson missed 3/4 games but this season he has been poor. Last season he was one of our better players just hope he can focus and get back to form if given the chance against Celtic.

Made me laugh though Grix on for Gleeson

Gleeson - caught out by a good side but crumbled badly
JD- A week out or two would/could/should help get him back on track
George- hides a bit then an injury worry every time he's near the ball
Obst - moved about too much - possibly too readable makes him a target
Pitts - got an oppertunity but he's not taking it
Grix- Not a full back, not a winger, not a .......................... no relegation and lack of funds means we have needed to stick this peg into too many holes. None of which seem to fit

Utterly baffled by some on here thinking that JD needs a rest. First name on the team sheet every week barring injuries, no doubt. Passion, graft always puts a shift in, hard as nails, line breaker and try scorer. When i read things like "Bibb - needs to sow us what he can do" in the same post i despair. Bibb has shown consistently what he can do - very little. Although he is outstanding at walking around with his hands on his hips and being last back in the line of defence.

As bad as Grix has been performing lately I'm sure the vast majority of us were glad to see that switch. Came 10 minutes too late though.

Neither should be playing on recent form.

You appear to be suggesting that we should not play Grix on the wing as he can't tackle but want to play him at Fullback instead. Strange move if you ask me.

If that's not the case then why not play Grix on the wing.
