Nothing this week will have helped any of us gain any hope but we are a strong breed and we'll get by .... it's only 6 days until our next chance of a win ... or 14 days .... or a month or two .... or next season .... or ???

Fortunately I had a bbq to go to to take my mind off the game - otherwise I would want to

someone - just not sure who to start with first!

Haven't really got time to put all of what I reckon - except to say that what worries me is that the performance is just a reflection of how the club is generally at the moment. There is obviously an awful lot wrong behind the scenes - and even the 'untouchables' are no longer that!

I have spoke to him, he's gone to a BBQ so he can't get on line.

I can tell you he is gutted.

I also think the post about the walkers for adam will also get him on
about his pet hate about the club.

We seem to go through this every other season at Wakefield

Gates down by what 25% on last season???? Can’t be far off

Strong rumours that the club is in financial trouble again no smoke without fire remember all too well our dip in form back in 2000

Rumours that players are unsettled / could this be down to any financial problems

Rumours that we have tried to offload players Peterson, Sculthorpe, Latu, Drew

Rumours that Atkins is being lined up by Leeds he’s under contract so a decent transfer fee would be needed / are we trying to balance the books??

Last weeks well publicised events that lead to players being suspended and the rumours of a rift between Sculthorpe and the club, did some of the other players look at Sculthorpes reported wage and just think F it this week why should I care he’s on decent money I am on peanuts.

Ok I know that we do not have a team of world beaters but we also do not have a team that should leak over 50 points to Huddersfield unless some thing was very wrong behind the scenes at Wakefield

Yet again we have a team who start the season fired up with moral high only to sink to another low in a short space of time with confidence and moral at a new low

well Ive been watching Trinity for about 23 years and I can think of many worse situations we have been in, here's a few

Just pre-occupied with Canadian relatives (big sister and family staying for the week) who were all invited to witness that debacle on Sunday.

My personal frustration stems from some very obvious weaknesses in the system at BV which I would genuinely love to have a crack at solving.

What seems to be clear to me is that whatever good work we are doing, there are no messages getting out to that effect - it all, as PB says, is linked to the PR machine - which we just don't have. We MUST deal with this issue if the club is ever going to grow sufficiently to reach its targets.

All very frustrating stuff one way or another!

Bob on. Have we ever had anyone remotely qualified doing that job...or even with a clue?

Good media relations aren't getting a bloke off Radio Leeds in to host something (that's Wisca though I guess), nor speaking to Ridings FM, Real, Yorkshire Radio and whoever else once a week.

If the Express ever goes belly up, where do we get our message out? The website people have been trained not to visit?

Look at the job David Smart does at Cas, and ask why we are so far behind.

Correct - what also happens every season at BV is that Wakey fans become hysterical after a few losses.

Truth is we are at our level, we will recover and will find some form again. However until we can sign more and better players we will never have the consistency required. Hudds spend far more than us but they are still off the pace, the same will happen to HKR. However if both these clubs continue to invest they will eventually achieve whilst we will not.

I said way back in january how annoyed I was that we seem to have treated this season as season off and not just recruited badly but for the first time in ages weakened the squad. Blame who you like, Ted for being tight, JK believing he can turn every player from a frog to a prince or my personal fave the players who for me are with a few exceptions work shy and spineless far to often!

We have reaped what we sowed.

Myself, TRB and PB have all giving Ted and co an earbashing on this - the truth is they just don't get it - why I don't know but it's a real blindspot.

little bit harsh mate. can't tar them all with the same brush. i'd agree about some but others week after week run their blood to water, but you only have to have a few not giving their best to pull the rest down.

Spot on. Every other team strengthened, we let players go and only brought in Snitch & Stosic which in real terms left us with a weaker side than last season.

I was just using it as an example, I don't claim to actually know the reason these were just a few possibilities. So I wasn't really being as harsh as you think, whatever we need to improve and soon.

No sure if I buy that one 100%

We let Golden, Ferress, MaCgillvray, Reilly, Hirst and Wood go

Reilly no loss George murphy have to step up Murphy did before injury

Golden for Snitch who is the better player for me Snitch

MaCgillvray for Stosic early days due to injury but Stosic looks the better player

Ferres now replaced by Winterstein the jury is still out

Hirst never played

Wood never played replaced by youngster Southernwood

We also had young players Pitts, Bibb, Ferguson who all need more game time they are all developing into decent players

If I have any criticism it would be the devastating loss of Adam Watene we gambled on not replacing him he was a huge loss

And the fact we did not offload 4 other players no names mentioned but one as now gone and replaced them with 2 QUALITY signings

We have all seen progress this season a bad team dose not win away at Wigan, Castleford and Hull beat Bradford, Warrington and Catalan at home
And give Leeds one hell of a game at Headingley
I think we all now need to let the dust settle and see what the next 3 games bring
