So, if you are coming down by train to Kings Cross, then the best route to Twickenham will be the Victoria Line to Vauxhal then the train to Twickenham.
Note, if you were going to use the overground line that runs from Stratford to Richmond....you can't as it's being readied for 2012

What about from Kings Cross to Waterloo, and then to Twickenham from there?

Northern line is fine.

what about by car ? never been there before but can get postcode but is there any parking around etc.

There's a massive car park literally 50yds from the ground entrance - think it cost a few quid last year (but then it's a fiver at Shudds).

Go past the ground with the ground on your right, to the roundabout. Go right round and back past the ground on your left. About 100 yds past the ground is the car park. One year it was cheaper the more people you had in the car but last year was £5 regardless. It's ok as it is on the right side of the road for getting out and heading home.

The roundabout has "B361" marked on top of it and the parking area is the grey-looking bit to the north-west of the ground. BTW, you can't see it from the map but Egerton Road has a permanent barrier across it near the junction with the A361.
