I suggest "THE STANDING ORDER" ,wetherspoons pub on george st.
This is just behind princess st,a big grey building,sky sports etc.

There's suppose to be one near ground so that one we all could end at before we all go into the ground this one sounds good with it being central & gives us a chance to get together in numbers i'll be there

I think George Street is where most of the bus routes go through Edinburgh at the moment so it should be easy to get to & from - they usually use Princess Street but part of that is closed.

Try the Guildford Arms at the eastern end of Princes Street (behind Burger King) They have elevn hand pulled ales on. This weeke and weekend is The West Country Beer Festival, featuring ale from Devon and Cornwall.

Cracking pub with high ornate ceilings, no kids, no chavs does food and sells decent ale and has a big screen TV. Was in there last night and all the ales I tried (5) were spot on.

Yeah theres tram work going on in Edinburgh at the moment so parts of roads are closed which means its harder to get around.

yep went up there the other week, it starts at the mound and goes all the way along princess street
