While i would not say "crap" i think we have been poor and have been lucky, the other sides may have been poorer than us but that does not make us a good side.

I think we've won of the back of guts and determination (and a liitle skill) and i am worried it will fade.

In fact i think saturdays game will be a turning point in our season and if we lose that i will be worried.

My take on the season is that we have had a lucky streak, in that most of the teams we have played have been in the middle of a bad patch. The problem we have is that when we get high in the league, other teams realise they have to raise their game, and as many teams starting point of skill is higher than ours, we fall short.

A good performance on Saturday and put Wigan out of the cup and I'll be happy. We tend to go on losing streaks, rather than blips, so let's wait and see.

We need to arrange the Celtic game sharpish! Chance of a win there otherwise it's gonna be a long losing run now I fear.

Don't be daft thats the one I fear most, everyone is taking bets to see who will be the first team to loose to them

I think wev'e been good value for the wins and league position but Sundays game reminds us that we have a long way to go.

I still think we lack an X-factor in the pack, we have a very honest, hard working set of forwards but there's no Feka, Fasavalu, Solomona, Manu or Hock type who can break the opposition.

You can only play what's in front of you, and we have deserved our wins. There's just a worry that Bulls and Wigan will hit the straps at the wrong time for us.

Nah - we can do them - and we can do Wigan next week as well.

IMO Noble outcoached Kear on Sunday!
Wigans tactic of going wide very early caught us out on Sunday but you can or should only suprise us once with that tactic.

I agree that Noble had it spot on - but I reckon if we had 'been up for it' we could have slowed them down the middle and therfore cut the supply of quick ball to the wing.

I still reckon that we should have had Bibb in the side. I really rate Snitch this season, but I prefer him in the back-row - unless we are genuinely short of front rowers. We lacked size / presence up front - although maybe that was Kears plan all along and he'll win the battle over 2 legs?

Yes, I think you're right TRB with reference to size up front and in the pack generally. We've got a certain amount of speed and mobility in there ,but we are missing what the likes of Stosic and Bibey give us ie they take 2 or 3 to pull them down, draw the oppostion in to do this and wear them down.

When we got in front early in the 2nd half I thought we would hang in there and steal a win.
It wasn't the throwing it out wide that got Wigan back into the game. The gamebreaker was when Broughy put that ace bomb up but Blanch allowed Ainscough to take it and then make 50yds up field. We struggled to track back and Wigan retook the lead in that same set. Wigan then got a few fortunate 50:50s (build up to Smith's try) and we never got back into it.

Spot on. Also Atkins throwing the ball out to no one when Blaymire had made a great run on the other side of him.

with only two points in it as well despite having been below par. we could easily have nicked it on sunday and ground out a win undeservedly and then we wouldn't have a board full of misery
