| What was he doing on the pitch?
Not carying water, not attending to the injured. Why is this unwanted intrusion on the game allowed?
The best team on the day won, no complaints from me on that score, but as a speccie, I don't want to see coaches on the field issuing instructions during the passage of play. Very unsporting, very un-rugby league. Very poor show.

| Wigan seem to do this more than any other team.
When my lad played in the Under 8's the coach was allowed on the pitch to coach the kids as they played - quite rightly, they are kids learing the game. However this lot are pro's and it should be stamped down on.

| The men in yellow are not water carriers, they are the trainers.
They used to be allowed on the pitch at any time when their team was in possession ... that changed last season. Now, as far as I can remember, the only time they can come on during actual play is to get a player off when interchanges are being made.
They are allowed on during stoppages or when a player is injured. The physios, in orange, are allowed to go on the pitch at any time.

| Personally i can't see a problem with it,if you can get away with it do it,sadly as i said at the game we seem too naive to do it as well.

| I could be wrong here ( and if I am I' m sure a few of you will be quick to tell me ) but I think the rule is that when you make a substitution, the assistant coach or nominated coach, is allowed on the field for three tackles after the interhange to issue instructions to the team concerning positional changes etc.
Having said that I think it is a farce and I agree that Forshaw was doing much more than passing instructions about positional changes. The rules need amending to stop this abuse.

I admit I don't know the rules on this to say any different but surely the players would be able to advise on any positional changes and does the nominated club official really need to be on the field to inform his team where a prop is going to play?
A change because of injury I could understand, but most of the rotational subs will be premeditated and discussed with the players before hand I would’ve thought.
