Having read the article in LE about "our" new ground, it seems to me that there might still be room for a ground sharing with Cas, it seems that the Newmarket site might be acceptable to both sets of supporters.
Being so close to Cas, geographically.
Sir Rodney hinted that although Cas still hope to have a "stadium of their own" Our new place could be used by other teams in the Community. Cas??
Will someone from the club make a statement regarding the position.

No they won't make a statement - what can they say at this point.

Clearly it's possible and actually makes a lot of sense.

In all honesty the only club that needs to clarify it's situation is Cas. However it will take some time as even if RW and the Cas BOD see it as the only option would you like to be the one to tell Cas fans they will be playing out of a stadium in Wakefield by 2011 - I wouldn't.

For it to happen the Cas BOD will have to have a rock solid case to win them over. At the moment Glasshoughton isn't dead and Stanley is only just off the ground - both could still crash and burn.

Well that statement certainly seems to clear it up- although I think it is funny how Richard Wright comes across more confident without Dave Woods putting him on the spot- in my opinion it seems he is just telling us what we want to hear. Well, I was told by Richard an announcement could be expected in the next 2/3 weeks on the latest position, but as a pessimistic Cas fan I won't hold my breath!

Richard Wright said the builders wouldnt be starting till the spring because it was a bit cold during the winter, havent seen a start date yet have you? its most definatley spring outside...

Been told by a couple of people now (a Waystone worker and an employee at Cas) that work is starting Jan 2010 and will be completed December 2010, which fits in with RW saying the team will be in it for the 2011 season, so it's all starting to fit into place now, the delay now will probably be the architect design and full planning permission.

I highlight the most significant word in Richard Wright's statement - not [iwill[/i but [imight[/i. So I don't think that rules out the possibility of a groudshare. I sincerely hope Cas do get a stadium of their own but I don't think it is as nailed on as some may think.

Think your reading to much into, not to long ago i can remember the word from swag on this board being along the lines of we cant say to much but we hope we might have something to announce soon, and low and behold they did.

Good luck to them. It removes the ground share risk, and if Sir Rodney ploughs on regardless, both our futures are secure.

Looks to me more Richard Wright talking a lot and saying nothing,keeps the 25,000 Cas fans happy I suppose.
