| I've seen nothing that indicates that this is anything more than a rumour; however if it is true it shows just how fickle RL is; Wigan would have been relegated but for Nobby and since taking over at Wigan he has done little wrong; I certainly dont remember him missing a tackle, dropping the ball or just playing like he cant be d unlike some individuals I could mention.

| True but its the same old story in rugby league isnt it. The coach pays everytime.
I wouldnt say any other coach would have done much better with wigan myself. If memory serves right they have made the final eliminator twice since he came in?
May be wrong, but if true thats quite good for the club. Compared witht he 2006 farce.

| So here's a thought - if Wigan have given Nobby the boot, what if the swines come in and make Kear an offer he cant refuse? Would Nobby be an acceptable replacement? Another rumour suggests Nobby is on his way back to Bradford which would make McNamara redundant - would he fill Kears shoes?
Discuss hehe!

Why would anyone want Kear? He is poo! We will keep him, do every other club a favour at same time by doing that

| Not often a coach gets sacked after winning a game. Not impossible, mind.... but unlikely

We won a game but played poorly again.
Nobles time is up and has been for some while but I have never rated him as a coach and feel unless he does go to Bradford now or in the near future his coaching career could well be over.
I noticed someone above credited Noble with "saving Wigan from relegation", which in my opinion is up there with the NRL is boring as one of the top Myths in rugby league. Sacking Millward saved Wigan along with some creative accountancy. Any coach with a tiny bit of ability could have taken those players out of the relegation trouble they were in.
There is no official announcement and i doubt there will be this week, although i hope there is! Given the fact McNamarra is still in charge at Bradford when clearly he is going to get the push, it makes me think something is happening between Wigan at Bradford that will see Noble return to the Bulls sooner rather than later.
At the moment Noble is looking at the end of the year at Wigan and no job for 2010 or if he jumps ship now a nice 3 year deal at the Bulls where he can do no wrong given there current position. Even for a drop in sallary a seat for the next 3 years is better than being frozen out of the game altogether which i feel is a distinct possibility unless he goes mid season.

| Don't rate Noble and after talking to a few former players they believe that alot of the success achieved whilst he was at Bradford was due to his support team and not actually Noble himself.
Wouldn't want Noble i'd rather we give some young coach a chance if we were forced too.
