Watched the Bulls/Wire game tonight,when Sherrife leaped into the air and palmed the ball forward/back into play,why wasn't that a knock on/forward pass?The guy proppelled the ball forward,i'd assume the decission was correct as no one on the commentary team mentioned it,can the ball be passed forward behind the try line?

So assuming Wire hadn't scored,Sherriffe then came forward picked up the ball himself,what would the ref have signalled?

Its a knock on if it touches the ground but it can't be a forward pass and you can't be offside in the in goal.
