That pass was at least 2m forward. The linesman is directly in line and basically keeps his flag stuck up his ar5e. They might as well stay behind the posts all game

I personally cant see the point of in goal touch judges. I know every ground cant afford a big screen but surely instead of employing 2 in goal touch judges why dont they just have 1 bloke sat in the stand watching the game on a moniter and then the ref can radio to him if he cant make a decision

Correct decison, infact he should have wiped the tackle count the ball was thrown backwards and propelled forward off the Saints player, what he missed was the fact the Saints player made a play at it.

agreed but the touch judges could and should help the ref more than thay do ref forward pass

see If i can make my comment a little clearer for you,
generally the term linesman would be used in football, where he/she is responsible not only for indicating when the ball is out of play but taking a decision when a player is deemed to be offside, a touch judge in the other hand just watches for the ball to be out of play.
I personally would like them to have more of a responsibility in the game as long as it didn't become fascicle
