| Can just take a moment to say that the amount of support we've had from everyone outside wakefield trinity has been absolutely fantastic, and i for one would like to express my upmost thanks to all concerned.
Some think of Rugby League as being a game played and watched by unintelligent northern thugs. During the last few months, our club has lost retired and current players far too early in their lives and the sympathy that has been expressed has shown that in fact we are not a bunch of northern thugs, we are a bunch of passionate, warm and caring human beings, without whom this sport would not have the unity it does.
The unity shown in this sport is beyond belief and i dont think you'd find anything like this in any other sport, anywhere!!!!
To the rugby league community and all concerned, Thankyou !

| i have to echo the first post.
we all have our rivals and teams we dislike, but all of this is quickly forgotten about as we (the rugby league community) come together.
Many thanks to anyone and everyone for thinking of Leons family and wakefield trinity etc.

| Just seen Leon's mum and dad on TV and it brought me to tears. They are just a normal league family, just like mine and so many others who just love our game.
I'm a very proud league fan at the moment and I've never wanted Wakey to do well as much as I do tonight and for the rest of this season.
Never said it before, but ive said it twice this season, "Come on Wakefield."
God Bless Leon and Adam and god bless our game and all that love it.

| So relieved you got through that game.
It must have been really tough for everyone concerned so well done.
Did Leon and his family proud.

| Very emotional watching the interview with Leon Walkers parents, having lost our son Josh five years ago I know exactly what they are going thru and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to them and their family.
Everyone at Belle Vue tonight were a credit to Leon's memory and the Rugby League family

| I echo everything that has been said already. I'm a salford fan and am choked up by the events of last weekend. It just seems so unreal still. The Salford lads that came up through the academy with leon are absolutely devastated. I read about people pleading with certain football clubs to respect minutes silences for events like Hillsbrough and Munich and am extremely proud that as a sport we pull together and show respect - no questions asked. I watched on television and thoguht that it was a really eerie atmosphere tonight and can't help but feel that rugby is irrelevent. I hope that wakefield can bounce back from this as I hope salford react in a way that woiuld make Leon proud of the friends he has left behind.

| Watched the game on SKY. The interview with Leon's parents brought a tear to my eye. The minutes silence impeccably observed as you would expect.
RIP Leon.
From a Doncaster Supporter (who was at the pre-season friendly between our two Clubs in which Leon played).
All the best to the Wildcats for the remainder of the season. You deserve a change in fortunes.

| The whole experience before the match last night was surreal, I know during the week some fans of both clubs mentioned concerned about groups of fans not respecting the silence, I am very pleased by the fact that they had nothing to worry about.
Both sets of fans proved what a fantastic "family" the rugby league community is and how we all come together in times of tragedy. In a way I found the impromptu silence even more moving than the official one but throughout it all I had a team in my eye.
Good luck to all at Wakefield for the rest of the season - you deserve some happiness there now.

'" the silence in the ground after that last for ages and it wasn't the minutes silence that the ref blow for when all the players was in position,
very eerie even the traffic passing seemed so quite,
we was stood just to the right of the screen behind the sticks and to see everybody watching the screen in silence was very emotional

| This was our tribute this afternoon, it was impeccably observed. This makes our game stand out from all others, when it comes to something like this we are one big family. We all have sons, husbands, brothers, who play the game, we all feel this family's pain.
I shed a tear this afternoon, not for the first time this weekend.
