salford will bring few but I fair bet will be vocal anything less than 8000 for our first home game will be a poor turn out IMHO

Want it to be big crowd, in theory should be a decent turnout given the first two performances. 7000 would be excellent just realistic, at times do not know what the sporting public of Wakefield want, hardcore fans aside.

Even though Salford wont be bringing many travelling fans the first game of the season generally brings in a few extra fans. Despite having to travel over from Ireland I always want to be at the first home match of the season - no matter who we are playing. Hopefully, there are a few more like me, so I would guess 7,200.

last years first home game was bradford 9851, the year before that was saints 7385, salford might not be the best supported club, but its no reason to drop down to 6k mark

Without trying to be detrimental to Salford, Bradford's a local derby and they had just signed 2 players from us, they also have more household names in their side and as such are a bigger draw. Although Saints don't travel in massive numbers they generally bring more than Salford and again Wakey V Saints is a far more attractive game than Wakey V Salford for a neuteral observer.

After the Bradford match last year didn't the club announce that the actual attendence was higher than the 9851, because some people hadn't been counted

Indeed, the official figure was over 10K. Think it was something to do with the people in the hospitality suite.

Also the attendance at the opening game of the previous year was about 1K higher then what was reported in the media.
