It turned out that Leigh didn't quite conquer the rugby league world after getting a shiny stadium. That overlooked the obvious fact that they never have, and that any young player in that locality might have Leigh blood but Wigan aspirations. It follows, therefore, that in Starbug's world any new stadium means the same death knell for whichever team as it did for Leigh.

That does overlook the obvious point, of course, that Leigh's main problem with the shiny new stadium was that it was only ever going to accommodate Leigh.

Starbug has a jaundiced view - he's recently escaped an abusive relationship with SL, so has trust issues.
