To suggest for 1 minute you would take a 30+ overseas player over a 25 year old British player who tore you apart today is a liitle silly.

Tore us apart, didnt quite see that. Certainly didnt see a world class number 11 on the field today. We were e and you only got away from us in the 77th minute. Hocks a hot head and a liability, and is also inconsistent.

How much have you seen of "Tony"? He was crap last year and the year prior to that, struggled to make the Samoa team. Started this year well but his form of late has dropped back to his form of last year.

Hock is top notch on his day, blows hot and cold, but is far from the finished article, "Tony" is.

I have to smile when people big up the overseas players over ours, normally it is justified to be fair, and i would trade Hock at Wigan for plenty nof NRL forwards. "Tony" is not one of them.

Its like Winterstein coming on today, Wakefield fans went nuts, next big thing etc etc. He has played 5 NRL games and is a total unproven player. He got his own thread praising his performance when basically the best you could say is he did not make a mistake!

Pitts has the same pedigree, but does he get the hype, no, because he does not have an Australian accent.

Hock is far too ugly to wear a Wakefield Trinity shirt.

Never claimed Hock to be world class, he is not. He did though tear you apart today. When Wigan needed a big play, Hock put his hand up.

GB has no world class players sadly.

He got his own thread because it was his debut just like any player would on there debut. It's something you expect. People have been waiting for his debut so there was bound to be a thread.

Pitts is a top player, last season he had his own thread quite a few times where he got praised and rightly so.

Tony IMO Jonh which you need to understand is the better player out of him and Hock. Tony has looked class in every game I have seen him in where as Hock is hit and miss

I understand why he got his thread but he did nothing and a few posts make out he had an inpact on the game. In truth he did sod all, apart from not make a mistake.

Enough to form an opinion. Don't count games I watch.

He had a ok game nothing special but it's his first game so needs time to settle. You could tell though that he was a spark about him and when he gets going he should be a top player but let's wait and see.

But what has him playing in NRL got to do with how well he plays in SL?

I have no doubt Tony's stats will be superior he has had a great start to the year, Hock has had a slow start. Do we judge a player on 1 season? Should the comparison not reflect the standard of side they are in?

I do not think Hock is world class, although i think he has the potential to be, but given a choice Hock every day. Now if you throw the debate open to NRL players there would be 10-15 i would take over Hock and a lot more i would take over Tony.

Because he has been poor to average the last 2 years. You have formed a view of Hock a 25 year old over the last 7 seasons, but compare him with a player who has been pretty good in a dominant side over 12 games and who of late has returned to the form of his NRL days.

Yes, if there wasnt a wigan board full of fans creaming themselves over hocks performance there wouldnt be however.

Is there anyone slating or using the incident in their argument as to why they didnt choose hock.

They dont have to, the fact that on a Wakefield board, someone chose to compare two non Wakefield players, one who was the pantomime villan today speaks volumes.

The NRL and SL are complete different. I don't give a flying F how he did in the NRL as he is now playing in SL and he has been great so far. You can tell the guy is quality.

Hock is too hit and miss, on his day yeah he can be good but if he has an off day you know about it.

Hock could have put in a World class performance today.....not saying he did by any means.......but had he played world class rugby his entire career infact the second he legally ran over Pitts in the eyes of the Wakefielf fans generally he was never ever going to win a comparison thread on a Trinity forum.
