There will be a mini transformation now as the dead wood is removed but it will take time. The few that go to Magic will give him a roar if he comes on as he hopes. Most of us are lifted again simply by his arrival. Obviously the standard doom and gloom mongers won’t change anyway. Who cares, we are back on the Trinity roller coaster again.

I am told that he telephoned Milky to say that he was coming back over and Milky's opening comment was "Welcome to Cas, Dave" to which Dave replied "Errr, no, I've signed for Wakey instead"

Not much competition for that honour to be honest.

The lad tried his best and looks as fit ,if not fitter than many of the others.

He did ok for a first game back, one of the few that did. But if he ‘gave everyone a lift’ as was claimed they did a good job of hiding it. Today certainly burst the great homecoming bubble.

Thought Fifita, Proctor and Pitts went quite well Sunday.

Think we were let down by the backs for the most part on the day but I was surprised Bowes wasn’t given more game time. Hood seemed to be struggling but was kept on. After the 11 men I would have brought Bowes straight on with instruction to dart from play of ball and engage in some defenders before sending it across the line.

I was happy with Fifita. No matter what happens he’s a trinity legend but the guy really put in a shift. I’d instantly make him captain tbh till end of season.

I agree with all that, but I don't think I'd make him captain. I think he thrives on being the rebel.

BIG DAVE should go to Cas at least they looked like a rugby team .For him to play with the this garbage,is been disrespectful to a legend of the club.Just got of the plane a few days before ,and was head and sholders above any thing we had on the park ,and looked a lot fitter as well

He did look fitter and better but why he should go to Cas I have no idea. That’s one completely bizarre statement.

Cas were awful for 60-70 minutes but Leeds were a complete disaster that final 10 and let them off the hook.

Let’s hope a few players follow his lead and put some real shifts in.

Perhaps you have not considered what the club, supporters and area means to Dave?
I could never see him coming back here to play for someone else.
If he thinks he can come back and help out in any way, then that's good enough for me.
That's a testament to how he feels about us, as well a being a great bloke.

Exactly, it’s a positive thing whichever way you spin it. Can’t understand why it’s been spun as a negative. It may not be great watching the team lately but I’m happy to be watching big Dave Fifita mixing it up again.

I just don’t get that. I don’t give a stuff about Cas or praising Cas. They shouldn’t even enter this conversation is my point.

As for why ask him… that blatantly obvious to everyone. Because he will improve us and we are trying to stop the rot with hope of avoiding relegation. There is no negative to bringing Fifita back to the trinity.
