Good news all round

I have just had an horrible thought, I hope Rodney Walker is no longer involved with them.

I believe nt

So long as they pay their rent it’s a win win for us.

If they don’t they get evicted and pay costs.

The deal won’t make us rich from what I know but it all adds up.

For us to be a success and genuinely compete you want to see BV used all the time. You want to see that car park full all year round and those floodlights more often on than off. We want weddings, conferences, exhibitions and as many organisations working out of BV as possible.

For example if we install a few vending machines around a stadium that is full of people all day long that would pay towards an extra Reserve team contract. You can’t do that at present but you will be able to when the dust settles.

We don’t have a sugar daddy and I’m not sure I want one, they aren’t always white knights. So we have to box clever and earn our place at the top table.

This imo is a good start.

Hopefully when the new stand is open plus it being nearer the city it will boost the crowd for WAFC too. Bigger crowd, more sales of beer and food and sales from dining

That’s the best outcome regards a second club/team moving into the stadium

I hope there good revenue streams for AFC as that will allow them to invest and become a bigger club, playing in a higher tier of the Football League which in turn will be beneficial for us.

Money/grants will become available to them that we can only dream about ,I can only see positive things coming from this joint venture .

Million miles off a joint venture. They are tenants nothing more. They own zilch. We are very much the masters and will remain so.

That said I think it’s hugely beneficial for both parties.

Well it means the number of times the facilities are used is increased just on match days alone meaning the stadium pitch will be in use all year great news as this will earn revenue. On top of this the rest of the facilities will be utilised a good number of times. Can only be a positive this

Really pleased about this. Long term it's the best outcome, I know I was hankering on about getting Leeds United reserves back, but they are settled elsewhere and as they would not be based here, probably NOT in the consideration for grants - I may be jumping the gun, wishful thinking etc but who knows - grants may be available?
If WAFC get settled and progress maybe a lot of football fans from Wakefield, who currently follow Leeds will switch allegiance to the home club?

YES when it comes to spreading the game, probably way better than anything the RFL can offer us, so maybe a bit of a cuckoo in the nest there, but thats literally decades off before becoming an issue.

As for the ground I'm doubtful. WAFC are renting, nothing more, They have no financial stake in BV, So as I see it the FA won't give grants that effectively belongs to another support, so NO to actual capitol spends on the stadiums structure. However there may be scope for other more peripheral stuff like medical equipment, gym equipment, IT, all stuff we could share, freeing up Trinity to concentrate on the ground,

Of course all this may change as time goes on and the clubs properly connect to hopefully go forward together. We shall see.
