Who's your mate I may know him, I know Richard Agar, good bloke but whether he's the right man for the job is extremely debatable. For what its worth I don't think he will be the coach, my mate was just trying to read between the lines. At the fans forum when asked if Richard Agar was going to be the coach JE categorically stated no. I reckon Cummins but again I'm only guessing like everyone else on here. Seems even Molerat got this one wrong but I think that was due to an 11th our offer from Cas for their 3rd or 4th choice man for the job.

My first post..... and just about fed up to the back teeth with all this..... Firstly AG is a buissines man not a rugby man and knows very little about the game, so if its his sole choice of new coach some fans are not gonna be happy with what might be the best choice for the club. Secondly, who ever the coach is can we give him a chance before jumping on his back slagging him off.... who's to say that some of the top names being spouted on here would do well for us ??? ..... whos to say that an unknown Aussie assistant or an unproven coach would do well for us ???. Time will only tell, and who ever gets the job should be backed 100% by the fans until he gives us a reason not to do so. Its gonna be a very tough job for the coach next season, with some of our fans sounding like Salford fans this time last year when they were predicting a top 4 finnish with the players they signed..... and look where they are in the table. We are by far the worse team in the league this year so all we are doing is bringing ourselves up to the likes of Quins and Salford and maybe the Bulls. Dont forget all the other clubs are strenghthening too..... its gonna be another long hard season again next year i fear, regardless of the coach, but please.... lets give him a chance eh?

Tommo I agree. Even if we don't think the new coach is right to take us forward we should all at least give him a clean slate and back him 100% until he gives us reason not to. Same goes for players coming in.

Fed up with all the slagging off of coaches people dont want, Fed up of hearing how people won't support this coach or that coach, Fed up of the people who are not gonna buy season tickets or attend games if a certain coach gets the nod..... never felt the need to post before and it wont be a reg thing as i enjoy just reading this forum..... everyones entitled to their oppinion as i am mine..... We have already let players go to other clubs for next season and no doubt more will follow come the season end..... so the players brought in are gonna have to play at the top of their game week in week out next season, not the form or lack of it they have shown this year. Just dont get too cocky where were gonna be this time next year as dissapointment often hurts..... just my oppinion of course

All but the highlighted part of that sentence is, I believe, correct. Not looking to argue with you by the way, I just think you're tilting at windmills by calling for people to stop expressing their views on here about the various candidates for the HC job - this forum is populated by people who care sufficiently to have views and it's designed for expressing them!

Anyhow, just quickly reviewed this thread and it seems clear that mole rat is our new man in the know; he's called the whole Gentle situation pretty accurately right from the outset, in the face of stringent denials from Gronk and his apostles.

So mole rat - given that you've said that Millward was our first choice but was spirited away by Cas after both Morgan and Gentle turned them down, who do we now have in our sights as HC?

I wouldnt take Mick Potter from Bradford I think the bloke is very miserable and boring. All of Glovers work making the Trin a happy place would have gone to waste. Mcdermott would we be getting attractive rugby ? No . I agree I think Morgan is the front runner now. Would people prefer Nobby compared to Morgan?

I wouldn't sniff at Morgan, but some lines would have to be drawn; I've heard he can be a proper Charlie.

Flew back from holiday last friday and a certain Francis Cummings was on that flight.

Now, the week before that, we know interviews took place, and a short list of 3 was compiled.

Then a week where nothing happens (Mr Cummings on holiday) and interviews contiue this week.

Conjecture, speculation or 2+2 getting 5 but it does fit.

Francis Cummings or Willie Poching for me. Both have seerved under a good coach for a while now and maybe their chance to take a head coach job.

I dont believe we can attract a top name yet in the world of coaching, on the other hand i dont think we should be going for someone like Noble who is at the back end of his career.

One of the afforementioned i believe will be given a 3 year deal so they can grow into the role, i dont think we will have immediate success, but an improvement on this year will do for me with a general overhaul of coaching practices!!

FWIW Stuart Pike has tweeted that Richard Agar is still Wakeys number 1 choice. I hope he is wrong.

They must realise that Agar is not the best coach in blooding youth etc he should've been bottom of the list
