I agree but they do, it's all part of the since of entitlement so many people have these days. So long as they get what they think they are entitled to sod over a hundred years of historical fact.

Yes you’re right gym facilities in what’s now the Rollin Shack think it’s for community use as well same with changing rooms. New East Stand has changing rooms and physio is that correct?

Yes, the ground floor level seems well laid out. One thing that made me chuckle was, next to the Official’s changing room, is a room called “Doping Control Room”,

I’ve just had a look at the Agenda for March 18th, our Application is Not being heard at this meeting, Perhaps MC recent comments re the start date could be a little optimistic. If you haven’t seen his comments, he is hopeful for the Floodlights to be replaced before September, work started on the new pitch and East Stand immediately the season ends, and it’s a 74 week build..

Our application is not being heard at the April 15th, meeting
The one below is being heard, and I’m wondering if this is one that, Our Stadium funding is dependent upon. If it is, then I find it strange that, John Minards has not asked trinity fans to support

Thanks for the reply, I know our application went in just before Christmas, I wasn’t expecting it to take six months or more for the hearing. I have no idea how the applications are arranged in date order for hearing, but I don’t understand why Covid should delay proceedings, all the meetings take place online, even joe public can watch and listen to the online hearings. Anyway, I’ll keep watching for the hearing date.

Standard local authority response I'm afraid. Seen so many examples from statutory authorities citing covid, failing to realise the rest of the construction world are impacted in the same way but are ploughing on.

Because ‘Covid’.
To be fair you can’t request a service or make a phone call without somebody blaming Covid for delays. It’s become a national excuse for a large number of businesses and organisations. You even have automated calls stating there may be delays due to Covid before your connected to a person. In some cases it may affect the operations of a business but in others it’s become an excuse to hide behind poor service imo ofcourse.
That said I hope we get some positive news on the stadium developments over the coming months!

True but in this case where it is a committee decision perhaps you can. Whether that's the only reason I couldn't say.

| Might be old news but in the 'Horbury and South Ossett' newsheet there is some info surrounding the new stadium/re-development. One comment is: "£125,000 transferred out of the Trust's bank accounts over five days. But nobody really knows what for." Another comment is: "What did we get for our cash and why does nobody have a copy of the drawings (apparently it was to pay for drawings of the new stadium). In fact nobody reports ever having seen any such drawings, including people who sat on the trust, many of whom are as mystified as the rest of us"
Apologies if it's old news. Mods please delete if it is.

What trust are we on about?
all the plans are on the WNDC site and have been there for month. Anyone with half a brain can see them. Over 50 docs available for public inspection. Most people on here have seen the as I assume have the 2000 people who supported the application.
Really sure what you are asking about?

No need to resort to insult.,(your default position) I'm fully aware of the application on the planning portal and have indeed commented in support. within days of it appearing.
The article quoted refers to the Trust headed by Rodney Walker and the Newmarket development. There are three articles in the paper surrounding the proposed stadium at Newmarket and the re-development at Belle Vue,
Having tried to follow the ins and outs of the stadium situation over the years I had never seen anything about money transferred out of the Trusts bank account to a company called Wakefield Developments, a company that is now wound up and no longer exists. Some people may have, hence my asking Mods to delete if it was 'old news'.

What LG has just posted is correct. I have here a copy of the newsletter sent out by the local Conservatives party. There is a photo copy of the Trust “Current Account “ along with other mischief material against Trinity and the Stadium. I wish i knew how to transfer these images onto here.
John Minards mentioned this in the March Q&A, apparently the club are aware of who the muck raker is, and the club solicitor is aware.

This was quoted in a copy of a conservative publication posted through my letterbox in Durkar last week, so it's not old in that respect. It certainly does question where 125k went!
Also states that the developers at Newmarket (Sorry I binned it so I don't know who they are referring to) want to actually build the stadium as opposed to just funding it and questioned just what kind of stadium we would get!
It was a politically motivated document slamming the local labour councils handling of the whole stadium fiasco and I binned it because I'm sick of reading it!

Sorry you asked which trust the account was. The photo shows “Wakefield and District Community Trust, first date of withdrawal 31st March 2010. Then a number of withdrawals up to 21st June 2010. With a total withdrawal of £134,949, from a total deposit of £141,500.and a closing balance of £6,551. Doesn’t show what happened to the balance.

I’m not saying LG is wrong think he’s got the wrong end of the stick, it’s the comments on the sheet that appear ludicrous.
As I say how do these people have access to the accounts?
Secondly the plans have been on show for weeks.
Scandalous in my opinion.
Politics really does attract some trashy people.
Finally I’m not sure which trust they mean. I didn’t know there was a trust specifically geared for the stadium build that had any cash in it as yet.
