this is all getting slightly confusing, however daft cas have been

1.I find it mindboggling there is not a register database available to all clubs showing all player current status and when it will change, if ever.

2. If he was wrong for next year was he wrong this year? any chance of this coming back to bite us?

3. And as the quota issue only a gentlemans agreement and hold no place in law, how can cas cancel a pre signed contract and have any hope of winning a case if martin pushes it? they cant, simple.

4. And finally, im sorry but I cant see players who know they are off to pastures new playing to their full potential, especially if the contracts are "subject to a medical" which assuming any sensible club would make it given that there are plenty of games left. I know a lot of this cant be out in the open but I just wish it was.

Wasn't aware we ever classed him as being off quota, but I could be wrong. Isn't this simply the case that Cas may have miscalculated/misunderstood the number of permitted quota places for next season, rather than anything to do with this season? All very confusing (if true, I feel obliged to add).

he was signed purely on the basis that he does not count on quota but yet the RFL have said he will.

It does, I was out with a member of Cas' coaching staff on Sat afternoon and he told me about the situation Cas had got themsleves in to. Neither Drew nor Martin can be registered but both have signed contracts for next season I was told. Could end up with cas getting a big fine, also got told Sherwin may be released dependant upon his recovery from injury.

Thats what will most likely happen but Cas were not paying peanuts for these two they were on extremely good contracts so there will still be a serious financial loss to Cas.

You mean like cas high which was recently described by offstead as outstanding, the most improved in yorkshire and the 3rd most improved in england?

I don't think we can get into an "our schools are better than yours" arguement to prove a point about a mistake made by someone making a decision at board level.

Both Wakefield and Cas have good and bad schools, they both have some intelligent and pretty thick people watching their teams.
If you look at the spelling and grammatical errors on here you will see a wide range of educational standards for those registered on RLFans. Doesn't stop them enjoying the game, or having good points to make and certainly doesn't stop business men making mistakes.

Anyway, now I have taken the high ground, it is still quite funny that the Cas board messed this one up. I hope he stays with us.

Nothing to shout about seeing as the rest of the country are inspected by Ofsted.

Outstanding does though and thats what they rated cas high as, with a bit of further checking they are rated as the 2nd best school in the district.
