I just don't see a signing as huge news unless it's an actual superstar. It's generating interest though which is good, I just don't what this to be the the new reigemes 'biggest announcement in the clubs history' moment.

It’s a real head scratcher this one. Normally there would be a few rumours doing the rounds but this seems fairly need to know only. I’m guessing it will be a contract extension for Max, which would be amazing news but with the greatest of respect to him, I’m not sure that calls for asking Sky Sports to attend.

" a huge announcement" some will always feel an anticlimax is coming. Let's hope it meets up to expectations.

It must be something significant.... I think it'll be ground related - It'll be a feature on plans for the redevelopment. If its Tyson Smoothy a year early too, that would also be immense!

We haven't actually announced Smoothy yet. It could be that. It would be big news if it hadn't been leaked.

Agreed that would have been big news - but the only way I think they could do an ‘exclusive’ on it now is to live link him or something, or announce he’s coming over now. Still think anything to do with the ground would just be too niche. It’d be like if Sky did a piece on Bournemouth or Burnley updating one of their stands… it’s possible but I’ve never seen it before. Think it’ll be Max, who could become one of the most talked up players in the league this year.

Watching that segment usually on sky sports, they usually just announce signings / extensions. I expect it would be Jowitt extension, or potentially Smoothy or maybe even a signing for next year nobody knows about!

Not only would it help improve our first team, it would help attract more youth who for too looking have been cherry picked by Leeds, Wigan etc. I’m hearing the pathways at Wakey this year has attracted a very good calibre of kids, with a lot coming for teams who would normally go else where.
