| I'm just looking forward to the next smear campaign in the newspapers/national media on Corbyn. We've had the laughable 'terrorist sympathizer' to mention one...but what's next - Hitler's love child? Hates gays?

| Any body who thinks MP's are interested in helping the general public are way of .They are just out to get out of the country what they can . In the 60 to half way through the 70 over 70% of the M Ps were working class . Now it's less than 7%

| Quote ="Fishermanscap"Finally, when you say 'I hear the usual argument how things will be worse under Labour and Corbyn but as pointed out no one knows but what we do is how they are now' what do you mean? They are the usual arguments because they are true since the end of the war not one single genuinely socialist government anywhere has succeeded in any way. Everyone leaving the countries they took over far worse off than they were before, please name one that hasn't, I'd be fascinated. Remember, especially on the continent, the word 'Social or Socialist' in a parties name doesn't mean they are socialists.'"
None of that makes any sense.
The Labour Party under Corbyn are not radical by any measure - and what he's proposing is a tried and tested model of Democratic Socialism, which is very successful in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Canada, Ireland and others. Portraying it in any other way, is either deliberate misinformation, or a direct lift from a Daily Mail headline.
Interestingly, the stuff that really exercises the establishment - renationalising public utilities - has massive support among the electorate, regardless of which party they support. Go figure!

| Its the tory party that got the country in the situation its in now. Firsstly by calling a referendum and secondly for the pack of lies banded about to win the vote The problem seems to be that no one likes to admit that they have been duped by voting leave . Dont think for one moment the referendum was called to please the public it was called to hopefully unite a divided party. When the vote went in the wrong direction it caused more problems for the party. Boris and his bus tricked many voters and when you add his totally misrepresentation on immigration he pushed the button to influence the voters. All his figures HAVE BEEN PROVEN WRONG.
At least with the Labour party they tend to paint a picture based on truth . If you honestly think our schools, NHS, Railways are in safe hands then vote for Boris, if on the other hand you would prefer to see a fairer system not based on wealth put your x net to the Labour candidate and have another chance to vote on Europe in to the bargain

Oh please not that ole chestnut!
Even if it said the real figure of 250 million what your saying is it would of swayed voters to vote remain....give your head a shake!
If it said a 100 million it wouldn't of made a difference on how people voted.

| Like i said if you voted leave you are most unlikely to admit you were duped. Proves my point i think. The whole campaign was based on lies and all the figures vastly over cooked.

“Do you think the following should be nationalised/run in the public sector?
NHS 84% yes
Schools 81% yes
Royal Mail 65% yes
Railways 64% yes
Water 59% yes
Energy 58%
This was a Yougov poll done in May 2017. Not very current but more up to date and decisive than the 2016 referendum.

Excellent example of false equivalence.
Nonetheless, you have your evidence; it was quite widely reported at the time that some of the Labour manifesto commitments had widespread support - in particular the re-nationalisation agenda - which is perhaps why they did significantly better at the last snap GE than the polls suggested they would, taking away Mrs May's majority in the process, and creating a hung parliament which has broadly reflected the similarly hung electorate ever since.

Public Utilities should never have been privatised in the first place. As Harold MacMillan said of Thatcher 'she's selling off the family silver'

Anybody who says, ‘I’ve been a Labour voter all my life but this time I’m going with Boris’ needs to give his/her head a good shake.'"
I’m one who will definitely not vote for labour again, especially with Corbin at the helm , but also will not vote Tory. Everything that the election means to me is Brexit so someone is going to have to be good to sell it to me. Hope Creigh knocks on my door again, but I doubt it after last time.

Must be an accidental oversight on your part but you missed out Corbyns glowing support of how Venezuela was being run. And now they're either starving or eating they're pets with inflation running at a zillion percent.
And yes he has supported terrorists in the past that is undeniable. But as they say one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter.

| Wotsupcas, you have been brainwashed by the right wing media, who are owned by billionaires, who are scared about having to pay their fair share of tax, under a Corbyn led Labour government. But don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Have a read of Labours manifesto and tell me how many of their policies you disagree with. Or, just carry on believing the least trusted media in Europe, it’s up to you.

| Without trawling through every post so far in this thread. I will just make my small contribution to the discussion.
How may of that 66% vote to leave did so on the FALSE promise of £350 million for the NHS each month and zero immigration. Total lies fabricated by Johnson and his mates. anyone voting Conservative is basically saying that they don't want a NHS; they are happy with zero hour contracts; they think paying for university education is a good thing, and a million other reasons. The fairest outcome to the whole Brexit issue is another referendum, but this time give the people the TRUTH before they vote.

As a leaver I’m happy for another vote, as long as there is an option for a clean break brexit now we all know the facts. Would you agree to that option.
