It would have been interesting had Andrew Fifita and James Graham came to Super League and as to where they went and if there was any fall out with players being shunted out to make room on the respective salary caps.

Personally though I think they will stay in AUS

Don't recall us ever having a pack as big as this, certainly not 4 players at 6'4" and 17 stone. I'd say Fifita is the biggest player we've ever had at nearly 19 stone but may be wrong on that.

Andy Kelly 6'4" & Bill Ashurst 6'3" were in the same team but don't remember anyone else that size at the time.

Andy Kelly and Mark Graham 6'4" but again they were the only two of that height but Graham was nowhere near 17 stone

Darren Fritz 6'3" but pretty much on his own as a big man in the pack

Probably the nearest we've come is the Grand Final winning team with Wayne McDonald 6'7" Francis Stephenson 6'2" but the team also had the likes of Josh Bostock 6'3" & Adam Hughes 6'2"

Not sure if McDonald and Chris Feather 6'5" played together though

Allgood will be a good acquisition for you. Good in defence, reasonable engine, brave and a strong direct runner but not an offloader or a big biffer like Fifita. Can also play at loose forward. Only negative is his temper. Easy to wind up and volatile. On a bad day he is a penalty machine.

No I don't, not even close tbh especially if we do sign the 2 players rumored.

Read an article last year about biggest/heaviest players in the NRL and Fifita was ranked about 5th, 6ft 4 & 120kg similar weight/height to the Burgess Twins, Russell Packer & Shannon Boyd. Only Mose Masoe was really heavier at 130kg.

Obviously size isn't everything at all but if they're SL standard and are fit at that weight, we'll should have some of the biggest Props in SL, which won't do us any harm at all next year and will hopefully give our exciting back line chance to play a bit and score plenty of tries.

Craig was in our local club on Sunday night with some of the Lock Lane players. I had to do a double take as he is the slimmest I've seen him for years.
He looks more like a back rower now so maybe thats the plan. Great signing if he stays fit.

We've got a big pack, super fast backs, one of the best half backs in the competition and another halfback that a top 2 club wants to sign

Tbf before anyone linked Huby to our club, including the Cas fan or League express etc, there have been rumors about him leaving Hudds for quite sometime.
Doesn't automatically mean he's signing here but it does give it some legs. Especially as it seems the Hudds Coach has said he hasn't been happy with their recruitment, maybe because of the Cap & seems desperate to bring in some players of his own.

Yes we've got 3 big Props atm but not enough depth in that department imo. From the sound of things, the Club are doing their best to sort this out. Hopefully at least one comes off but it would be a great boost if both happen.

No we have a bigger pack at the start of this season than we did last season. We didn't start with Fifita and Hirst is bigger than Scruton and Anderson.

Clearly we need at least one more prop to reach parity with last year but we are already bigger so it's good already. I'd be happy with Allgood tbh but Huby as well would be terrific.

I'm more inclined to believe we will get one or the other rather than both.

I'd settle for one of the two, for now, both would be a bonus.

That would be a bonus - we've never really recovered from the loss of Rinaldi, when we had by far the best beard in SL; Amor made a manful attempt to fill in, but he never really got past looking like a homeless. Every club needs both a ginger, and a splendid beard; ideally not on the same player though - that's just scary.

Whether they are coming or not it's taking a painfully long time to materialise

I read somewhere that Huby is contracted until the end of November (today) so, maybe we've had to wait until that expired

Cant see Huby coming unless Hudds are desperate to get him off the cap even then they may want a transfer fee
