If you can't back and get behind a man who has put thousands and thousands of his own money in and worked for no financial return......clearing a defecit of nearly 500k.....avoiding us going into administration by the skin of our teeth.....and working relentlessly to clear debts and give us a bit of a decent reputation with local businesses again.....then don't shut the door on the way out....

I've seen time and time again people put the question to you....what would you do differently etc.....and as yet haven't seen you reply once in any constructive way whatsoever.....

All you do is jump on every single slight bit of anything you can turn into a negative and when anything positive is happening you are very rarely seen or heard....

It's so blatantly obvious you have a personal axe to grind with Michael it's embarrassing......it must hurt so much to see that there is plenty of positive things happening and plenty yet to come....

Yes - and whilst there is a Q&A session with MC going on, there is something much more important to present!

Off topic but how do I find out if I am still an st member?

Been wondering the same myself....I have signed up for all sorts of similar things over the years (most of which are now defunct), and can't remember what I am, and am NOT, a member of anymore

The AGM is open to all who were members last year. If you joined at some point then you were a member then because all members were renewed for free. You should have a Certificate with your Supporters Trust membership number on (if you don't, PM me and I'll let you know what your number is)


This meeting will be a chance to sign up for this year, amongst other things so please come along.


The meeting following the AGM is an Open meeting for all supporters not just people who have previously been members of the Supporters Trust. It is important that we get as many people as possible at the meeting to hear some interesting proposals.

We've found our original certificate and the following renewal slips have been torn off so hopefully returned for renewal ,I hopefully have PM you mine and the wifes details successfully .

The first year of membership was chargeable. For those who paid up, we offered a free renewal to take us through the next year as we had little activity to show for membership.

So - if you joined in 2011/12 and re-newed (for free) then you're still a member for the purposes of the AGM. Also, if you joined in 2012/13 you are a member.

ALL memberships from now will again be chargeable and will be available from tonights meeting and all members will need to re-new their membership.

MC has said there will be a place on the board for ST rep if we can get 1000 members for club 1873, legal problems over share issue so that's a no go at the mo.

That doesn't make any sense, what is the connection between how many 1873 members we have and the ST?
Fair enough if the ST got over a certain number i could see that, but not club 1873.

Its a work around. The ST can not directly invest into Trinity but by using their influence to boost 1873 they will be rewarded by being given a seat on the board. Thats the way I read it anyway.

We do have the option to buy a block of shares in the Trusts name, just not as individuals. We felt that it was unlikely that we would raise a sufficient sum to make this work.

The idea of linking it to club 1873 has been run past our parent organisation - Supporters Direct - and they are comfortable with it providing we get the place on the BoD.

In essence we:
a) don't have to cough up a cash lump sum
b) avoid risking a 'Bradford' situation
c) bring in ongoing funding to the club - whilst we keep the membership up, we keep our place on the BoD
d) if all fails - we stop the funding
e) all those joining have a chance to win prizes
f) the more that join = the bigger the prizes

We gave this some thought, but none of us could see any major negatives in the idea - now we just need to get the word out and start to build those numbers!
