| Quote ="Theboyem"And you obviously weren't bright enough to underatand what i originally put. I didn't say he would make it on the wing, i said he wouldn't at centre. He hasn't played in his natural position for us yet so maybe he deserves a go there before being written off entirely. Put it this way i wouldn't want Peter Fox lining up in the centres but he's made a decent career for himself on the wing.
FWIW i don't think he'll make it either as he seems to lack the ticker but i'm willing to give him a chance before binning him.'"
I think he underestimates himself, from what we've been told hes a fast lads but never backs himself.

| He's playing on wrong side of field, that said he's not brave enough to be playing at so level sadly.

| People have been calling for other players to get a chance, on Saturday there was Trout, Lyne and Anakin in the team all of whom are in the team gaining valuable experience IMHO. We cannot have our cake and eat it, we have seen too many players in our team in the past move on and become cracking players in cracking teams, look no further than Huddersfield's team now and look how many ex Wakey players are in the team, when we had them they were probably at the same stage as some of our lads, we must persevere, I have seen enough crap and suicidal comments on these boards to last a lifetime, some people need a reality pill, we dont spend the cap because we cant at the moment as the income is not enough, the owner is trying to increase the business but its chicken and egg in sport, the key driver comes on the pitch, we are in a low at the moment but hey life is full of ups and downs, too many coaches on this forum the club is young let it grow.

Talking of dual reg - I am a Leeds fan and there would be a couple strong lads down at Hunslet, Keinhorst, Watson and Hood. I for one would like to see then get more into the first team, especially Keinhorst at , maybe a loan option if your in need of some ehthusiasm as well as his work ethic has been picked out by both the Leeds and Hunslet staff as excellent.

I would love Liam Hood as a replacement for Kyle Wood, but think Agar will stick with Widlie

| Everyone was raving about him pre-season. Now he appears to be the latest scape goat. FWIW i thought he didn't play too bad Saturday and looked threatening at times, certainly wasn't our worst player.

| I thought he was better on Saturday and he has been in the previous month or so. I think he had more space and made more ground ball in hand. Still not good enough though.

| He hasn't kicked on since he got injured, but he can't be blamed for the whole teams recent bad performances. He can't be blamed for the constant handling errors Cockayne his making
He is only young, and needs time. Maybe he should be playing on the wing where his frailties are less exposed.
Also remember Mellars spent most of his time at Crusaders on the wing.
If we had a decent stand off to work with Tim Smith, move Lee Smith back into the centres with Collis, then Lyne and Mellars should give Cockayne and Fox the competition in their position which is sadly lacking.

| The lad looked great pre season and if the team was in reasonable form and playing with confidence he would be going well.
Sadly, we are not playing well as a team and defensively we are all over the place.

Mellars played most of his games for the crusaders at centre. HTH.

| I dont think he is good enough but hope to be proved wrong. He looks lightweight, dare i say it, a little intimidated/scared at times and not as quick as i was lead to believe (he got run down against Hemel twice after having a 5 & 10 yard start on there winger!)
The thing that annoys me the most, is that [uimo[/u he is certainly no better than Cowling, but he is getting alot more chances to try and prove himself as he is a RA lad/signing.
Ive watched Cowling play in the academy/U20's/Donny and he is decent. On the 2 occasions i have seen him play with the 1st team he has not looked out of place or let anyone down. What does he need to do exactly?

| After communicating with quite a few neutrals ,with no particular axes to grind,I can tell you they were in agreement with Tigerade.
Lynne by no means the worst player on Saturday.
The lad showed potential earlier in the season.
Let's hope that is realised.
Get off his back.

| He made some decent runs on saturday, but had no idea what to do next. Really don't think he is a centre but seeing as he played most of his rugby before joining us on the wing I'd try him there before consigning him to the scrap bin. and going by Fox's (lack of) efforts last week then maybe sooner rather than later.

The one thing that Foxy still does really well is cart the ball up from DH - he makes cheap metres to get us out of our 20 and doesn't get leathered in the tackle; I'm not sure Reece Lyne could do that.

| My disappointment with Lynne is that he kills the play when it gets in his hands.
When he was running on the end of free flowing move he looked good but he isn't the guy for tight games.
I can't see his defence being better than Fox and he isn't as good at kick return so I'd put Mellars in or if contract allows him back we should have Cowling.
Collis and Smith are first choice centres but injuries are driving other decisions.

| Said it on another thread but the overreacting of Wakey fans never ceases to amaze me? Everything is so black and white. Win a couple and the good times are back, lose a couple and the world ends. How many times have we been here before after a few poor performances? Last year was the same this many games in and then we end up in play offs meaning fans get unrealistic expectations this season. Lynne wasn,t great on sat but he was nowhere near the worst and a lot of the others are much more experienced. He did some good things to get himself into positions but then didn't finish the play off. How many games has he actually played for us? Give him a break. Maybe he needs a spell on the sidelines but the vitriol on here says more about some of the numb nut posters than him as a player IMO. Rugby league fans are fickle as they come, I'd hate to play for Wakey with all the Dickson the sideline
