| Should anything happen at CT like what we experienced Nov-Feb I would have a serious crisis on conscience.
I would feel awful for the genuine CT fans, it broke my heart & i honestly wouldn't wish that on any club.
But on the other hand I'd have a s at people like Gronk! & Neverdid (although vinnie would have to change his name then!).
FWIW I think we're seeing the early signs of what we experienced, running a SL team on a shoe string/ without proper business acumen (like we saw under Ted) is a near impossible task. IF I am correct I hope CT come out of it for the better, just as we did.
I await Fully et al to tell me how well CT is run & this is nothing to worry about. Before you do I couldn't care less.
We're going to wipe the floor with you next year, that's all I care about as far as WTW vs CT goes!
(And stadiums of course, I love a good natter on that front! Although we'll beat you there too IMO)

| We both need stadia. I would love to see the day when we both have a stadium that we fill each week, and not just for the area, but for the game, because I would love to see the day when most of the top flight are pulling in 5-figure crowds each week. It would make the sport truly competitive.
Unfortunately, Huddersfield won't, because they have everything they could want right now: cheap tickets, good stadium, good squad, good coach and good performances, and still they stay away. Quins won't either. Salford have got their chance now, and hopefully we'll both get ours in the next 3 years.

Go on then...how do you get me in a category with that racist idiot? Is it because I say things you don't like?
All I've said about Wakefield on here is don't get your hopes up about Parkin buying the club (when you were all salivating over him...look what happened there) btw - you got a better bloke in the end.
I also said don't get too excited about the planning application, which again, I was right to say.

Looking more & more likely Cas wont be going anywhere but Doncaster in the next 3 years because of certain shareholders (not RW) blocking 3 takeover attempts in the past 12 months.
Huddersfield are a lost cause, that is a town that quite clearly does not care about the local sports teams, London will never be a huge RL area. As for Salford, I can't see them getting anywhere above 7000 never mind 10.

| As Wakefield Trinity fans we more than most should understand the woes and misery a RL club can go through. I find it rather sad, that as fans who are fortunate to still have a RL club to support we soon forget the luxury afforded to us. Instead we clutch at straws and chose to look down on others misfortune, as many other RL fans did towards us!
Maybe we should concentrate on WTW and let nature take its course rather than diverting our attention and efforts towards other RL clubs especially when were so close to our day of destiny

| Still can't help myself having a Smug grin at all the Cas fans that were gloating about our demise pre franchise day. Let the good times keep on rolling.

| I don’t know if anyone read the letters page of the Cas and Ponti today but it was pure comedy gold. A full page of letters ranting about Wakefield getting everything and Cas getting nothing.
The star letter come from no other than the king of spin Dickie Wright. He came out with something very interesting. The official line about Opus and the ground has always been that funding for Glasshoughton would be released once [ioutline[/i planning permission was given. This is the line that’s been consistently repeated on these forums by Fully and co. Well today in the letter that changed to [iFull[/i planning permission. As we know with these projects there is a massive difference between outline and full, especially when you have a chance of a government call in.
Don’t get me wrong I want Cas to get a ground, last thing I want is them to share at Newmarket and the consequences that will involve. It just narks me that we have been perceived in the RL community that we are well behind Cas when quite clearly we are in the driving seat.

I know that’s what Dickie claimed in his statement. It's a very bold statement which I find hard to believe. Do we have any links to support the accuracy of this claim? I'm willing to be proved wrong!

Because Opus aren't doing outline anymore and going straight for full PP (when Tesco sign the contract, that is)
Suppose they think that will be the best/fastest way to do it. But I find it hard to believe it'll ever happen now.

Agreed - as I posted months ago, expecting two brand new, state of the art, 15000 seat stadia to be constructed within the WMD within 12-18 months of each other, in this economic climate, is pure lunacy. I therefore see no other outcome than Cas sharing with us at NM, since it's clearly the scheme with the most likelihood of becoming a reality.
A cynic might suspect that Tricky has known this for some but is going through the motions, to appease the Cas faithful and create the impression that he's done all he can before taking the universally unpopular decision to throw his lot in with WTW.
