I dont buy the players are burnt -- were 3/4 into season,we didnt have a long cup run and only Morrison has been selected for any rep match.I doubt any player has played all the fixtures and we have used more players than most other teams.
The players fitness levels should be approaching peak at this stage of the season.

Whilst I agree with you, there is that arguement that the players pre season started too early.

Mentally, perhaps? It doesn't look like we have a squad of players who can deal with this kind of situation. A lot of young lads, a lot of inexperience, and no one with the guile to guide them round the park.

Just watched the Catalans v Leeds game. For a team that came bottom last season, they've had one hell of a turn-around. It's not all down to Menzies. A new coach, a few new ideas, and a bit of self-belief works wonders. Don't forget, we beat them in Perpignan at the start of the season.

If this is the case we need to replace Sanctuary with someone who can condition the players properly.

The problem is we are a Championship side playing in Super League and I'm afraid its no more than can be expected. This side was assembled on the cheap before administration in the knowledge that we were screwed financially with tax bills unpaid and winding up orders looming. It was all that could be afforded.

The problem is that we have won 6 games, 6 games more than I predicated, and sides know how to play us and how easy it is to beat us. Its boring to watch and I do not go away from home and will not. Quite frankly this season cannot end soon enough for me.

We cannot do anything until 26th July. No one will sign for us because we don't know what division we will be playing in next year. People are calling for Kear to be sacked - what's the point - we would only have to pay compensation and then who would you bring in and what the hell could they do.

Our onfield problems were caused some time ago and there is no way anyone can plan for the future until we know what the future holds. Thank God we've only got another 2 weeks to wait - then at least AG and JE and the rest of us will know our fate and then can get on with things and plan for the furure, whatever that future is.

Another season I can't wait to end. I used to enjoy going to BV, these days its more of a pain in the arris. Its been the same for the last couple of seasons, its just not enjoyable anymore. Very close to chucking it in for good.

think theres a lot like you, me included, Im as rose tinted as it gets but ive had enough.

Hate to say it but I'm really struggling to force myself to attend at the moment. Paid up to join the club scheme, normally attend most games but yet again today, I did not enjoy the game, the atmosphere amongst the crowd is awful and the lack of effort and commitment on the field is a disgrace.

When the coaches act and behave like they did today and the woeful performance on the field, it really does make you seriously question why the hell you bother.

Have supported Wakey for a long time, never gone through a period like this not wanting to attend games. Used to hate end of season, can't wait for it to come now.

We knew what to expect this season.
At present we have a young team with the vultures circling and no protection from the RFL just like in administration.The RFL's a joke and any recriminations should be directed at them and not the young kids who are going out on the park every week.

If there are players playing "busted" as JK keeps saying I would rather he tells us who they are then we can appreciate and applaud there effort in these difficult times or put some promising kids in who maybe deserve a chance.

Why did Hickey play?

a) 'cos Kear can't see beyond a reputation
b) 'cos all the decent players who could have played in his place are crocked (and we weren't going to win anyway)

Think you are being a bit harsh on Kear. We have had a few good seasons under Kear and when you consider the financial restraints that he has to work within then he has a pretty impresive record. He has had to sell players and better players are always going to move on to Clubs where they have a chance of winning something unless of course you are suggesting that Kear should have made us into a top side in the last 5/6 years. I'm a bit past sticking up for Kear at the moment because I think he is making some rather obvious mistakes but to run down what he has done at the Club because things are not going well at the moment is out of order as far as I'm concerned.

ur right mate he's worked wonders with what he's had to work with thats why thats why theirs at least 2 other sl clubs after him .

I heard Jonny T telling someone in Cats that Hickey played cos Higgins had a stomach bug.

Looking at todays game, my observations are as follows :

1) Some trys were caused by one on one tackle misses
2) Others were caused by problems in the defensive structure (The one from the kick off springs to mind where Graham took it passed it and all of a sudden there was a 3 on one overlap). Its still far too easy for teams to shift the ball wide and find gaps.
3) We have no attacking options whatsoever no planned moves or dummy runners. We persist with the chipped kick to the corners forgetting that we haven't really got anyone tal;l enough to take them (even if they were put in the right place)
4) Wildie should have playerd. He is no less an experienced first team player than Hyde, but in my opinion offers more attacking threat
5) Even with Higgins injured we should have picked an alternative to Hickey who managed about 15 mins in total I think
6) I agree with others Sanctuary does not condition the players suitably for RL and thats part of the problem we can't last the 80.
7) We have absolutely nothing to lose by giving Kear the boot now. His contract is up shortly so it aint gonna cost us that much and might at least give the long suffering fans a reason to keep coming and hope for some of our neglected (not nutured) juniors.
