Bit unfair to blame the Express for that. Aren't junior match reports supplied by the clubs still? If they sent reporters to every piddly under 9s game the paper would cost £20 a week!
If the Express won't play ball, how about we get behind the Wakey Guardian - could be beneficial for both parties. Or our local radio stations.

That is the 1 thing I admire the scousers for solidarity. The stories are always on here first or on Ridings fm or a week later on the Wakey website!
Boycott the rag.

why? surely as you infer later on it's in their interest. all it takes is a couple of reporters to go round to the area and start asking residents questions, maybe throw in a few 'i heard this is going to be happening' and bingo the word spreads round the area and the seed is sown

I don't admire them for it. It just confirms their place as self-pity city.
They always look to blame somone and never look at themselves.
[size=100Look how the juve fans reacted when they put out a 'friends' message in Italian on first time playing against each other since hysel. Turned their backs and gave them the v signs cos Liverpool have never said sorry or took any resposibility. [/size
They need to take some responsibility for their own actions and move on. Prior to hillsborough they sang Munich songs and other sick stuff to man utd. Post hillsborough united fans sang back "where's your famous Munich song" as suddenly they considered other people.
I am not a fan.

Couldn't agree more on all of your other points. The boycotting of The Sun was something different they made a stand against the utter rubbish that was printed a stand that was backed up by an entire City, christ we can't even get 2/3,000 hardcore Wakey fans to sing from the same hymn sheet.

| On this theme, it just got me think about the recent pardon and release of Liverpool fan Michael Shields.
It breaks my heart to think of the young scouser being ripped away from his friends and family like that.
Still, he can always go back and see them on visiting days.
(apologies for lack of originality if you've heard it)

Word on the street? So basically a load of misinformed Wakefield fans HOPING that Cas move so they get a ground quicker? So that is definitely wrong then. I was present at our Supporters Meeting on Tuesday night with the directors, who categorically denied there was any chance of a groundshare at J30 with Wakefield.
As for finances we do have money in place and an announcement will probably be made in due course about that.

To clarify, it wasn't RW that said it. However, it was generally agreed that Wakefield's stadium plans hinged on the fact that a supermarket is the main benefactor and the fact that the stadium was based around that happening, it would take a long time to get it past the planning stage (supermarket that is).
This was due to the fact that several surveys on traffic etc would have to be done and the timespan for this could take as long as a year which would be end of 2010 and in the middle of when the licences applications are being produced.
Therefore in response to that, it would probably be more likely that Wakefield would approach Castleford than the other way around. No one said it would happen, just that it was more likely.

You are the single most deluded poster on this board.
The Wakefield and Distrirct Community Trust HAVE alreadty written to ALL the sporting clubs around - including yours, asking for opinions / contributions to the Newmarket scheme.
Other than that - you carry on and so will we. Good luck!
