Petersen was unlucky with injuries. I thought he was a good player and i saw him come in and take the ball up plenty of times.

Hearing stuff via the players is just going to cause problems in the long run.

you should know by now, the club tell us nothing, maybe sometimes for the right reasons, sometimes not. As far as us supporters are concerned though it only hightens speculation, causes paranoia etc.
Usually everyone has a fair idea what's happening long before any club announcement, which really only confirms what we've all thought all along, they run the club so it's their choice, for good or bad.

Which is entirely down to their opinion - and it will always be the right reason from where they are standing, which is far and way more responsible than the one we are in here - speculating.

I have no idea why any details have not been released, but it probably involves some agreement with player - so can we leave it at that please.

It's a shame though other club employees, or peoplle linked to the club arent quite as water tight as the club would like because it always comes out. I can't remember being genuinely surprised by any recent signings or departures, by the time the club announced it.

Back to the original point. Peterson has been a disapointment no doubt, you win some you lose some and in respect of overseas players we have done better than most in recent years.

That said George has also failed so far to make the impact I certainly hoped for. Yes I realise injuries have made a huge impact but his Academy hasn't been great during his recovery period which led many to doubt his attitude.

He is clearly a real talent with that bit of wow factor (not that we have seen much of it). I for one was ready to call it a day due mainly to the fact that he seemed injury proned and fragile. The more versatile and reliable though IMHO less talented Murphy looked like the player to keep.

Then just as your about to give up the real player steps forward, and now any right minded person needs to re-evaluate the player. So who do we keep out of these two is the real question not Peterson. Is it the possible match winner George or the ultra reliable Murphy?

Simple, keep both and don't replace Petterson with a big name Aussie. Let's put some real faith in these two players and see where it goes. Both have proved adequate as wingers so far and both can play other positions. TBH IMHO the backline only requires adequate anyway if the pack is dominant and the halves can exploit it, both of which will IMO be the case next year. Lets give these two the chance to rise above adequate and become key players.

It's a vain hope as I fear even JK (who is better than most) can't quite shrug off the British fascination in all things Australian and won't make that leap of faith.

Petterson a waste of time? Well no not if his failure to make the wing position his own has allowed the likes of George, Murphy and Morton to show there worth. If it does it's been a waste of three talented players time. We should and could make one negative into two positives, here's hoping.

Technically - admin mod the mods - but they allow each board to be run in the manner desired by the mods on that board - as long as we abide by the AUP in doing so.



As I said earlier - these forums are all about gossip and rumour - but if there is anything which could be deemed defamatory, then it goes.

I may not like some of the rumours - but if that's all they are, then we have to live with them - and I do try and counter the daft ones occassionally after consultation with those who DO know!

on such a forum as this, should mods lack responsibility and parity, others can hardly moan about responsibility, I would think?

What I meant was if mods are prepared to speculate, post less than responsible quotes, and clearly post biased points then other mods can't moan about the rest of us that do, if clearly this forum is for speculation and rumour in the first place!

It would be interesting to know your definition of "riffraff" and just which part of the fans that post on here you are refering to.

me, basically, I try not to speak on behalf of others, but basically anyone who isn't necessarily in any official loop, sometimes get castigated for daring to imply anything that is not inline with there own thinking.
You just need to read through some threads especially on rumours and you will see the infighting that's posted.
So yes I'm the riffraff I speak of!!
