| Man of the match for me. Petersen that is.
Atkins was dire, again.
Petersen would probably be in double figures for tries if he played outside Keith Senior, who is still the best English centre around by some distance IMO.

| i think petersen has improved significantly in our last few games. although he may not be earning his money in attack he has bee admirable in defence. his off the ball work and defence was top notch tonight great game by him only just beaten by korki for mom tonight in my opinion.

Maybe we should try swapping them round - Petersen would get more of the ball himself to do something with and might actually pass to Atkins who with some room one on one with a winger might actually score more tries

| To be fair to Atkins Senior was outstanding. Not many centres could stop him when he is in that kind of mood!

I agree to a point but did look a little to easy for Senior. Well done Keith, super leagues best centre.

| Just watched it back. In the build up it compares the 4 form centres in the league. Atkins, Senior, Gidley & Shenton.
Atkins, try scoring passes... 0. Says it all. The guys a winger, end of.
Did he play right centre tonight to be up against Senior or to show Leeds he can play right centre. Either way he failed.
Peterson top class. Unlucky with the effort just before half time but quality throughout.

It really does say it all. I imagine Petersen would actually have a few more tries under his belt if he played outside a centre who had a passing game.
Petersen was my man of the match. That effort he "bombed" was a tough one to start with. He got through a lot of work tonight. Pity Atkins couldn't be bothered.

Mick Nanyn would make Atkins defence look 2nd rate.
Sorry to all the Atkins fans -- but he is a lazy prima donna, who doesnt want to the hard work in defence.

| I have to say that tonight was Atkins' chance to show that he was the new kid on the block, and he was severely outclassed. What centres do is make tries for wingers. That's what Senior has done so much at Leeds, and you only have to see how Gardner does so well at Saints with his two-yard stumbles over the try-line. Peterson is not getting the service he deserves, and so of course he cannot shine.
It might be that the job isn't being done further in, as maybe Atkins is never getting the chance to work an overlap, but I have no problem with Peterson now that he is fit.

| I've been vocal in the past re Petersen but over the last few eeks for me he has shown he can be a valuable player in our team, put some great hits in in defence last night, took up a lot of ball, pressured Hall in to the mistake for Atkins try, kept the play going from Broughs kick to the corner which ultimately led to the try scored by Grix. Carried on after a very heavy high tackle form big Ali and recovered well. OK we might not have had our moneys worth over the course of his contract due to injuries poor form etc but for me he is now shoeing signs of why we signed him, his best game in the red white and blue so far, hoipe the improvement continues.

| Is side show this years scape goat! Some Wakey fans are pathetic, the guys work rate was awesome last night, just like it has been the last few games. The guy is outstanding when bringing the ball out from our half. So if and when Side Show goes who is going to be the next scapegoat?
As for Atkins, well he was outstanding for us until the last 10, I genuinely feel he had run himself to standstill, he look out on his feet.

| The stats probably tell a different story, but Petersen seemed to get through a hell of a lot of tackling (for a winger) last night. Great effort from him.
Senior had Atkins in his pocket most of the night. He also showed how good centres bring their winger into play. Petersen must have envied Ryan Hall.

Don't thinks hes a scapegoat in the usual Trinity mould, but has you say, last night and the last few games leaves hin open to debate.
For whatever reason he's been missing at times this season, but last night i hope is a sign of things to come.

| Petersen has been generally poor so far, the straw that broke the camels back was an awful performance at Bradford, where in a not bad team effort Petersen and his lack of effort/interest was shocking and plain for all to see.
At that time and after that game, I and many others came on here and IMO rightly laid into him. Since then he has reacted in exactly the right way and I thinke he has put in two or three very good performances which could have been better attack wise had he seen more ball from his centre.
I see this as constructive criticism, where a player has rightly come under the spotlight and has put his hand up and answered back. I applaud Petersen for that and hope his better form continues.
Obst is another example of constructive criticism. Called by a few and questioned on his size and tackling, and dropped from the team. He came back in yesterday and put in an outstanding performance including some superb tackles, two that spring to mind were a copybook tackle round the legs of Lauititi taking him down and stopping him dead and a very brave effort in standing up to and stopping Luke Burgess despite having Burgess's elbow in his throat (I think on the first tackle of the 2nd half?)
So, on the subject of constructive criticism.....over to you Ryan..
